In late 2008, The Presidio Theater underwent many improvements. All the auditorums, except for the small ""screeing room"" theater have had new speakers and the latest digital sound systems installed.\r
\r
Some upgrades have also been made to the projection equipment, improving the image on screen. The big auditorium (""Theater 1"") has one of the largest non-Imax screens still operating in The City. \r
\r
The offending Exit signs in the balcony audtoriums have been toned down a bit, but there is a limit to how much the theater can do and still comply with fire safety laws. \r
\r
Street parking can be difficult, but not impossible, to find on some weekends. Just leave yourself a bit of extra time before the show to find a good spot. You may have to walk a few blocks to the theater, but it's a great neighborhood to stroll through. The theater is easly accessable by several public transit lines all of which stop nearby, and there are also several parking lots (pay) nearby. \r

The Presidio is one of SF's few remaining classic neigborhhod theaters and is still a great place to see a show. Although the original building has been divided into 4 auditoriums, much of the original 1930's archetecture has been kept intact, making for an interesting interior.
Pros: Large Screen - Digital Sound Upgrade - Great Location
Cons: Parking Sometimes Difficult
