I am originally from Columbus Ohio and moved to the area a month ago. We all know that trying to find a salon in a new city is scary and trying to find one in Dallas posed an even greater problem because there are thousands!! I found Premier Atelier through a google search and was happy to know that they are the ""official salon of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders"". I went back to my natural dark brown hair after finding out I was pregnant. I had been a blonde for almost 10 years!! I wanted to start the process of going back blonde (I know it takes a few times before achieving the blonde highlighted look so the hair isn't too damaged) and was really nervous. Dallas got hit with a bad storm and the roads were terrible on the day of my appointment. I was over an hour late and they were so nice about it! Annie my colorist knew exactly what look I was wanting and made me feel at comfortable. The price was reasonable and I left the salon very happy! I can't wait to come back to get a hair cut! I highly recommend this salon and have made this my ""official"" salon :) more

Great Stylisst!!! I've tried so many different salons in the Highland Park area and this is the BEST salon I've found! The atmosphere is FUN, friendly and not stuffy & uptight like the other salons. Everyone seems so real here and the sylists and their assistants are so trendy and fun! everyone here seems to LOVE what they do. It's also in a GREAT area!! more

I have used their ""top stylist"" now for two years. The last couple of times I have noticed a little less focus on his part. This time he cut my bangs totally wrong - angled to the opposite of my face that they grow, too short and too thick. I feel I was very specific about what I wanted. For an expensive haircut this was miserable. I will not return. more

Please read this review before you consider going to this Salon! I have been going to a stylist at Premier Atelier for a couple of years and was always very satisfied with the services I got there.... UNTIL a couple of months ago. I'm not sure why, but when I went in for a regular cut with her, it turn out uneven and did not look good at all. After trying to deal with it for a few days, I returned to talk to the stylist. She refunded my money, and I decided that she must have not been having a very good day. I was very afraid to return - somewhat hesitant that I would experience some retaliation, but I received a gift certificate from a family member who did not know that I was dissatisfied with the last cut. I was feeling very excited that my hair had grown out quite long and it was very healthy. But it had been about four months and I needed a trim. I decided to schedule with the same stylist since prior to the last time, she had always done an excellent job. When I went in the first thing that she mentioned was how long my hair had gotten. I told her I liked that and that I just wanted a trim. She specifically asked me what to do with my bangs (they had grown very long, which I liked). I asked her to leave them long and angle them so that they blended with the length of my hair. She proceeded to cut them straight across, and made the sides very thin. The whole cut is choppy and uneven. I was in shock. My hair has been breaking off ever since the cut (over a week) It was once very soft, but now feels very brittle. I actually wonder what ""product"" she left her station to get and put in my hair... hmmmm. I'm not sure what to do other than to warn anyone who is considering going to this place. I can't tell you how much I have cried... I hope that no one else ever ever has to experience this! more

If you are looking for some one to cut your hair that you can go to for a long time, I highly recommend Ty! He is a great stylist who cares about his clients. He will listen to what you want and counsel you on what will work with your hair. He gives his professional opinion and takes great pride in his work. He's not happy, unless you are happy. The search is over for me...Ty is my new stylist and I am so glad I went through many to find him! You must give him a try! Pros: great attention to detail Cons: pricey but worth every dime more

After reading a good review on Dallas D Magazine, I decided to try out Premier Atelier Salon. I much prefer to be at an Upscale Salon than one of those many hairdressers smooched into one building and called a Salon. My hair needed roots lightened and highlights put in. THe 'Color Specialist' as stated on his card might as well have been a student fresh out of School with no experience.. I've now gone back in 2 times and roots still NOT taken any Color !! How is it possible to pay good $$$ for a ""Color Specialist"" and still walk out with dark roots!! So it will be a charm the third time around I guess. Lucky me that highlights worked out. I might as well finish the job myself. Pros: Chic, upscale interior Cons: Complete Joke! more

I have been to top salons in Manhattan, LA, and London - Premier Atelier was recommended by a (famous) NYC salon, and I was not disappointed. This seems to be something of a Park Cities neighborhood staple - despite being the ""official salon of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader"" (many of whom work there) - and in the five years I spent in Dallas I have seen ladies who lunch, Cowboys cheerleaders, and every conceivable person in the spectrum emerge looking great. There are several excellent cutters, but my favourite colourist ANYWHERE including somvery famous NYC, LA, and London names is Mark Miller (who is also known as Vaughn). Mark is an artist, period. Do not let his rocker persona scare you off if you are a conservative lady - you hair will look appropriate for what your needs are, and it will be fabulous - and if you don't like it, just as at any other salon of this caliber, he will work on it to get it just right! Pros: everything is pleasant, and yes there is valet parking more
