Prairie Life Fitness Ctr

I have been a member at PLF for 2 years. When I first joined I was very unhappy and was actually going to find another gym, but then I think they realized they were going down hill and hired a new General Manager. He even came up and introduced himself to me, which I barely even saw the old manager. Ever since he was hired things have fixed, fun events are happening and staff just seems friendlier. They family atmosphere is great. I would definitely recommend PLF if you are looking for a great environment to workout, that is also family friendly. more

I do not Recommend Prairie Life Center,Im a soccer mom,I enjoy working out when I have the time,I joined Prairie Life Center in Overland Park,my car was vandalized twice in the parking area,the womens locker room is unsanitary.The price you pay is a ripoff...NOT WORTH THE MONEY UNFRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER AT PRAIRIE LIFE CENTER ON BARKLEY IN OVERLAND PARK FOR ABOUT 8 YRS,WHEN I STARTED THE GYM WAS VERY CLEAN THE STAFF WAS PROFESSIONAL,AND THE MEMBERS WERE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS,IN THE LAST FEW YEARS THE STAFF IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING,NEW MANAGEMENT WITH TERRIBLE ATITUDE,THE FACILITY IS UNKEPT,THE MENS WHIRLPOOL IS DISGUSTING,THE OVERALL FEEL OF THE GYM IS VERY LOWBUDGET,YOU CANT RUN OR WALK ON THE TRACK INSIDE WITHOUT BEING PUSHED OR BUMPED INTO FROM JR. HIGH SCHOOL RUNNERS. BECAUSE THE GYM NEEDS MONEY SOOO BAD THEY RENT OUT THE TRACK TO JR.HIGH RUNNERS ....ITS NOT SAFE OR VERY RELAXING WITH 20 KIDS ON THE TRACK RUNNING AT HIGH SPEED.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT SUCH A NICE GYM WHEN FIRST OPENED IS NOW LOW QUALITY INCLUDING THE UPKEEP,STAFF AND MEMBERS....ITS NOT WORTH THE PRICE,I RATE IT AT ABOUT A 3 IN ALL AREAS.OH YEA IM NOW A MEMBER OF LIFETIME FITNESS...AND DID I MENTION VERY VERY HAPPY WITH MY NEW GYM.
