Prairie Electric did a fabulous job of installing all the electrical work in my new house! These guys are obviously experts at what they do . . . they were fast, friendly and focused, sensitive to timelines and I've had zero issues since I moved in . . . there's a lot of Peace of Mind that comes with knowing you've hired local contractors that do the job Right!!! more

I personally hired prarie electric about (7) seperate times for small jobs in my home ,I must say that each time the employees were pleasant prompt,professional and extremly knowledgeable in what they were doing also,very AFFORDABLE! in fact I will calling Tom in the next few weeks to schedule another home project. Make sure you find out what there service call costs. It is not based on time and they weren't even sure they figured out the issue. I would recommend doing small jobs yourself as it will save you alot of money. more

Had strange problem of bathroom lights intermitently going on/off w/o tripping the breaker.Prairie electrician came promptly,diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it swiftly.I had checked for loose wires at plugs and replaced a 15 amp breaker w/o succes.Was worried it would take them forever plus $$$ to repair.\r Twice I have had the experienced professional Prairie electricians handle the call swiftly and explain the solution in an excellent customer friendly manner.It is rare that I can't resolve my own electrical repairs but they have been superb when I cannot. more

We called Prairie Electric to have various small jobs done for us, one of them included the electrical set-up for the hot tub. The job was not done to code, Prairie evidently did not know the code, so the Inspector would not okay the work. It ended up costing us double because when Prairie had to come out again to correct their mistake. If we had a contract, they would have had to make it good, but because it was 'time and mateirals' they would not warranty their work. Watch out for these guys, they are not very ethical!! Put a call into their answering service on a Saturday in regard to a non-urgent electrical problem that had come up, the call was returned before 8 a.m. Monday morning and they had an electrician out to take care of the problem that afternoon. The electrician that came out was professional, worked quickly and was polite. He took care of two other non-related minor problems while he was there. The price charged was the price we'd been quoted on the phone, the only extra was a small fee for the outlet they replaced. We were very pleased, will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone. more

If you need electrical work done on your existing home, give these guys a call. As mentioned before, no job is too small(or too large). They are prompt, and very professional. They won't waste your time. They show up a little early, and get the job done fast. Their staff knows what they are doing, if they screw up, they fix it, no questions asked. \r \r Oh, and of all the electrical contractors that I called to get a quote for a panel upgrade + home wiring improvements, they are the only one that called back. \r \r Our new neighbors (we recently bought a house) had similar work done the year before by Prairie. They had several competing quotes, which Prairie had the lowest by over a thousand dollars. We ended up having a little more work done than they did, but Prairie did and excellent job none the less.\r \r Highly recommended. \r Don't waste your time working with anyone else. \r \r The good thing is, they could probably raise their prices, and I wouldn't change my review. more

I needed to get some minor electric work done in my garage. It's harder to find places that do small jobs for a reasonable rate; most places don't want to spend time working on minor projects. They were prompt & quick (done in 30 minutes). Job was clean and the price was about $80 less than the next estimate. I'd definitely call them again if I need more work done in the house. more
