I have to say that I thought it was normal to have to walk away from a salon, hours later, feeling that you're never going to be happy with your hair. It's a ""genes"" thing. I would always anticipate the same reaction, until my first visit at Poshe Salon. It was Rachel who transformed my hair! She is an absolute artist and has done wonders with my hair. She is very intuitive and perceives exactly what your objective is for each visit. Her fees are extremely reasonable, color choices and recommendations are awesome, and after searching out the higher end salons in Hawaii, where I came from, I can honestly say that Rachel at Poshe Salon surpasses any Honolulu salon I had ever visited. I have lived in Hillsboro for about 5 years. I've been everywhere to get my hair done. No one compares to Rachel at Poshe. I consider myself a picky person. I'm like a critic under cover constantly. I grade people on customer service and quality. I went to get my hair done today with Rachel and I give her 5 stars!! She is absolutely the best in this area. She highlighted my hair and cut it. I'm so happy with the way it looks.She also is a very nice person who really listens to you. I've been to other places where the stylists think they are too good and don't listen. I just wanted to tell everyone that Poshe is the best place around to get your hair done. The atmosphere is awesome and the prices are great. Plus I love the music they play. I also want to give my thanks to them. I had to bring my 4 year old daughter with me today and everyone in there entertained her and didn't seem to mind her. It made me feel so welcome! I've been going to Poshe for a little over a year. I HIGHLY recommend their service for any hair or nails needs. Rachel has been doing my hair there and she knows exactly what I like and every time I leave there feeling great about my new look. I'm always getting compliments on my hair and have referred many friends/family members/ and customers from my work to go there. They are friendly, the service there is outstanding and I've never had a better experience in a salon before in my life! There is no other experience better than the Poshe Salon experience! I'm very happy with their service and will always be a customer and recommend all my friends go there over any other salon in the area. I have been going to see Kathy at Poshe for almost a year now and I love the color and cuts she has given me. I have gotten everything done from highlights to all over color, and I have gone from medium length hair to my current very short hairstyle. What I really appreciate about Kathy is that she is really good at giving a style based on a picture. Whenever I bring in a picture of a haircut she always takes the time to talk it over with me to find out what I like and don't like about the style and then customize it to my hair color and type. The prices also can't be beat. I used to go to a salon down the road and was paying over 30% more and not getting near the satisfaction with my cut and color! Poshe is also super convenient for scheduling appointments. They will always work with you to get you in when you need to. more

I left a post a while ago saying how wonderful Lily at Poshe is. Today was my 4th haircut and color from Lily and I have to say that with each visit, my hair gets better and better. And Lily made my hair dreams come true the first time. She is one of those stylists that can look at your features, and transform your hair to something so hip, so perfectly you, and with no hassle. My hair is easier to do now, than 6 months ago - and back then I was throwing it into a ponytail. This really is the best salon on the westside, if not in all of Portland. I am also amazed at how many customers the salon takes care of - appointments and walk-ins are treated with utmost professionalism and everyone is given as much time as they desire with their stylist. I've never heard a disparaging comment from the staff - and we all have been in salons where stylists can be snippy. Not at Poshe. A friend told me about Rachel, a stylist at this salon, and I decided to try her out. I was unsure of what kind of look I wanted, so I asked her to give me some advice. I would highly recommend Poshe Salon for any nail, hair, waxing, massage etc needs BEFORE going anywhere else. I have tried SO many other nail salons and keep going back to Poshe because of the professional yet personal, friendly and cozy atmosphere. Not only that, but it's like two blocks from where I live making it very convenient for me to walk to and from. One day I went in for a pedicure and had a BIG motorcycle exhaust burn on my calf. The gal massaging my legs was very careful with the injury and took care not to go near it with the salt scrub. I'm always happy with the service when I leave. I have been going to Poshe since it first opened. Lily had cut my hair at the salon she used to work at and when she opened this salon she called me personally to invite me to come try it out and offered me a discount for doing so. I have been going there ever since! Customer service and quality are impeccable and they are great with kids too! My daughter is 3 and they are great about giving her trims while I'm there and she also gets her nails painted! She loves it! more

A couple of months ago, I met Jennifer at another salon she was working at. I was very excited that she is now at the Poshe Salon where Lily does my hair (cut and color). Yesterday, I went in for my three week fill and Jennifer was waiting for me. As always, she did a fabulous job! I would highly recommend Jennifer and Lily services - they both do a wonderful job!! This was my first visit @ Poshe Salon. I usually get pedicures 2-3 times a year. It was a walk-in the middle of the day (Thursday) and they gladly took me in, but i think they prefer you make a appointment because they can get busy. I had Jennifer and it was the BEST pedicure I received since living in Hillsboro for 21 years! I had a french tip and flower design. The amazing thing is I have gone to high end salon like Aveda-Gigi in Washington Square and never received the talented skills of painting a flower on your toes. Jennifer and others are very artistic! The technician @ Gigi could NOT design a flower by hand but instead used rhinestones to design a pattern of a flower. The atmosphere was very comfortable and it is like talking to old friends (technicians). Mahalo and I'll be back with my daughter. more

I have frequently rec'd pedicures at Poshe with little issues in the past. This Saturday however it seems to me the customer service is in a decline with little regard. On Saturday I scheduled a pedicure and haircut appt, my husband went in with me and he also was able to get a haircut appt. As I got my pedi he was getting his hair cut, during the HC the stylist dropped the clippers on the floor, picked them back up and continuted to shave his neck. Unfortunately the clippers had broken during the fall and she proceeded to cut up the back of my husbands neck, he stopped her immediately but it was pretty tore up. She replaced the guard, finished the haircut and my husband paid for all of services and no discount was given for the neck incident. I waited for my haircut and after it was done left the salon to go next door and wait for my husband. Within minutes someone from Poshe ran over and accused me of leaving and not paying (again, my husband had paid all services prior). I went back over there and she found the reciept and aplogized, however said that my haircut was more than the standard due to length and proceeded to charge me an additional $4.50. I was amazed after cutting my husbands neck, accusing me of stealing and a 20% tip for all services they would really charge me another $4.50. It was outrageous and very poor judgement if you ask me. I won't be going back and I've been there for more than 2 years. I think that all the rave reviews are starting to go to their heads- time to get back to reality. I've just moved to Oregon from California I have been going to the same nail tech for 5 years I'm very picky about my nails thats y I was worried about finding a new nail tech I stop at this salon by my house, Poshe salon and met a nail tech name Christie she did a wonderful job on my nails, the best I ever had she takes her time I recommend Christie to anyone that likes to get there nails done. I've been going to Poshe since 2007. Sheryl is the most talented stylist ever. Not only is she sweet and kind, but I can tell her my ideas and she just goes with it. I had been searching everywhere for the perfect person to do my hair for my wedding. A friend highly recommended Sheril. Although I had never visited the salon, I made an appointment with Sheril for a hair cut and up do. She knew that I was nervous, but her confidence and cheerful personality put me at ease. She assured me my hair would look beautiful. Sheril was right, I absolutely loved what she did. I couldn't have found a better hairstylist. My hair was gorgeous! I had so many compliments about my hair at my wedding. She truly helped make my wedding day a perfect one. more

I moved to Oregon six years ago from San Francisco Ca. San Francisco has some of the best hair salons in the world and I knew it would be hard to replace the stylist I have known. I have tried many hair salons here in Oregon with absolutely no luck, then like a ray of sunshine came Poshe Salon and only four blocks from my house it was a miracle. It has been two years now that I have been getting my hair cut by Tony the best hair stylist in the city and the most friendliest. Up until now I have only recommended him to family and close friends because he was my little secret; too good to let just anyone know about him and this great salon, but I have had the privilege of keeping Tony as much as I could to myself for this long and now know it is my duty to let everyone know about Tony the best hair stylist ever!
