Poses A Studio

I was just looking through the photos Tom took at our wedding, ~5 years later... I am still angry at how poorly he did. It would be one thing if his poor and unprofessional attitude and high cost could be ignored by quality photography, but that was not the case. He barely moved around, had no creativity, most of my guests were not photographed... his staged photos were horrible. Do yourself a favor and find someone else, this guy is a ripoff and you'll regret paying for crap. This is an important milestone in your life, don't trust it to this amateur. more

Tom took pictures for our wedding and everything turned out Beautiful. We were stressed for time and the wedding was in Pennsylvania but this was no problem at all for Tom. He was able to get some great last minute pictures 2 weeks before the wedding and worked around our schedules. He made us feel at ease which made the pictures turn out even better. We have a familty reunion coming up soon and Tom will be doing this for us as well. I have recommended him to many of my friends who have used his services and are very happy. What an amazing photographer! Tom has a very artful eye and knows how to capture a shot and create such wonderful memories! Every year we pull out our wedding album on our anniversary and look at our beautiful pictures that Tom had created for us. Now we have three children and the oldest always asks to see our photos on our Anniversary. It's a tradition now, but he definitely has created a memory that we cannot ever forget.\r \r Also, we felt that Tom was very organized and managed wonderfully with a large group in our wedding party with, 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen and 2 flower girls & 1 ring bearer. We headed out to the Cleveland Art Museum and took pictures at the park area and he definitely captured great shots with the background of the trees and caught the light that filitered through the trees that created a dramatic shot. Dramatic is what I wanted! He also, was very creative and took a beautiful photo of my husband & I nestled close to each other with my very long veil flying up in the air. He made it look like the wind blew it in a perfect manner. The funny thing is, there was no wind! One of our bridesmaids and our 2 flower girls helped create this look with Toms simple instructions. He also, captured special moments at my parents home, the home that I grew-up in. These photos are definitely precious to me and having these taken by Tom, well, let's just say it will be unforgetable!\r \r I'm also creative and have an artful eye like Tom and I knew right away Tom was the way to go! Tom did a “family” portrait of me and my large dogs. I was extremely please with the experience. My “kids” loved Tom and having the shoot at home was a stress reducer for the ‘pack’. Tom’s calm patient demeanor resulted in more great proof options than I ever expected. Each of the “kids” personality was captured and even I looked like myself. Tom captured the color and shine of my dogs from Weimaraner silver though Irish setter red. The black and white proofs especially showed off Tom’s talent for composition that elevated the shots. \r I had so many great proofs that I asked for opinions from some of my friends and family on what to select. I had only planned on a finished photo for myself. I got a request from everyone who saw the proofs, or heard about them, for their own prints. My family and friends are not shy and many of the requests were for both color and a black/white. \r I have recommended Tom to others without reservation and they have all been happy with his work. \r Pros: professional and talented; good with dogs more

Tom took pictures of my five-year old son and did an amazing job. He is an experienced professional with great suggestions for location and other details such as clothing colors etc. I especially appreciated his attention to detail - other photographers have not been experienced enough or willing to fix ""every hair out of place."" Tom knows that people have a choice and he offers 100% professionalism. My son never did a location shoot before and Tom had him laughing and the pictures looked so natural. I also loved that it did not take all afternoon. We didn't wait in a small room crowded with tired families waiting for their turn. After my daughter was born (now 10) I made the mistake of going to places that advertised $9.99 picture packages and I wish I knew better. I spent hundreds of dollars on photos I just packed away. Tom easily did what I could afford - even his reprints were fabulous. I was extremely happy with the quality and overall experience! He went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Tom did my wedding. My wife and I loved him and the photo's were beautiful. He was on time and was very courteous to us. The negaitive blog seems out of place with all the excellent reviews and with my personal experience. Art is a personal experience and maybe Tom's eye didn't match up with that person. Then again, there are some people that can never be pleased. \r I can only tell you my wife and I loved everything. I have no trouble recommending Tom to anyone. As to price, you have to make your own decision, but I found him to be fairly priced and given the beautiful photgraphs, well worth every cent. Pros: Great photographer, great service more

Let me start by saying that Tom does such beautiful work and is so easy to work with. He is very detailed and is not in the way at all like most photographers. I really like how he captured so many prescious moments that were a delightful surprise. I have been to many functions and the photographer always stands out in the crowd where Tom just blends in and makes you feel at ease. He is so up to date on technology and was able to have my photos up for view within days of my wedding. I also booked Tom to photograph a family photo prior to Christmas and the only day we could get the entire family together was on Christmas Day. Tom came to my parents home on Christmas day and took our photos. To me, this goes above and beyond what most photographers would do. You won't have any regrets hiring Tom, his work is exceptional! I recently got back in touch with the owner of POSES A STUDIO... It is 2010 now and my wedding was 1998. Due to moving out of the country and unfortunately having some complicated life experiences my husband and I never got back to them with our photo choices. We were able to get our proofs with ease when we came to town for the holidays following our wedding but once we got them we completely lost touch having other things to concern us. Sadly, years later, when life calmed down, I began to have a sinking feeling that we never followed through but certainly this could not be remedied after all this time AND I WAS TERRIFIED of looking like a crazy fool trying to contact them after 11 years. I DID recently contact POSES A STUDIO and received an immediate response that 'OF COURSE WE HAVE YOUR NEGATIVES' and I even received an email with one of my photos attached just to prove it to me/make me smile... Many changes were going to take place after I got married and my wedding day I found to be very stressful... However, no stress from the photographer THAT is for certain. From my home, to the church, to our photo shoot location miles away and then to our reception, the photographer was amazing and thoughtful... The location we wanted for our photos was the Old Arcade in downtown Cleveland and while in the midst of a 'wardrobe adjustment' my veil practically unraveled. It was a simple piece but I soon found it was held together with one thread and once that thread is touched, POOF... I gasped! My photographer? not a word, he scooted to a shop nearby, got a needle, thread, he sewed my veil... HA... I don't know how to explain how much we love our photos... We love them... We learned of POSES A STUDIO through a friend... One who used them for her wedding... POSES was also able to steer me PERFECTLY in the direction of an amazing florist... I can't say enough good about POSES A STUDIO but, hey, Martha Stewart seemed to like the work they do since she has had PHOTOS BY POSES in her Wedding Magazine... I have been a client of Poses A Studio for the last 13 years and have had many wonderful portraits and candid shots taken there. Owner Tom McInerny's fine attention to detail and his keen eye for capturing the perfect moment have been the qualities that have kept me returning to Poses year after year. His pictures are elegant and classy with a little bit of whimsy woven in. He puts the customer first and is willing to go the extra mile to make your experience a memorable one. If you are considering Poses A Studio for your wedding ? DON?T!!! I used them for my wedding and it was an awful experience! We paid $1800 (plux tax) for 5 hours of photography and the pictures were mediocre at best - and we had to deal with the bad attitude of the photographer. Let me explain:\r \r The photographer didn?t show up to our first appointment with him, which should have been a sign, but we chose to ignore it and hired him. The pictures he showed us were very nice and we thought that it would be a good match. We were wrong. He made us feel like idiots by criticizing the choices we made for our reception, such as the DJ. Additionally, he did not follow up on any email or phone communication, which we had to use since we lived out of town. I often had to send the same message 2 or 3 times before receiving a response, which often didn?t even answer my questions. \r After the wedding, he even had the audacity to ask me to continue to email him multiple times because he gets forgetful. NOT a way to run a business. When he would finally respond, it would be with attitude, which made me feel like all he wanted was the money and didn?t care about the quality of his work or his business. Overall, it was a completely awful experience and I would never recommend him to anyone.\r \r If you are still contemplating using Poses ? I BEG you to reconsider.
