I work as a Concierge at the Metropolitan and it appears that Pop Culture has closed. I looked in the window the other day and there are no items in the "cold case" (juice/milk, etc.) Many of our residents mentioned that they were not too impressed with the food and it was over-priced. more

I didn't have the pearl, perhaps that makes it better. I just had the regular yogurt in a cone, the cone wasn't very good. The yogurt was yummy and tasted fresh and light. I wish they'd had chocolate to "swirl". more

The Pearl Swirl is the perfect light lunch - tasty and great for you! My girfriends and I are always on the look out for frozen yogurt spots, and this one is by far my favorite! I find myself just craving it, and whenever I do I jump on the streetcar and indulge (although it is really an under-indulgence in terms of calories and fat). LOVE IT! Pros: Tasty! Healthy! Amazing! The yogurt is really delicious. I love it topped with honey and granola. My only complaint is that for some reason the yogurt melts really fast so you have to eat it quickly. more

Saw this on KGW 8 and had to try it. Took my wife and kids and absolutely loved it. The food was great, the service excellent and the yogurt beyond belief it was so good! I don't have a clue about what "littleandcute" (I doubt they are either!) was talking about in their review. We had four different yogurts all with different things on them and they were perfection epitomized. Maybe LandC should stick to Baskin Robbins or they should learn to ask for what they want??? Their idiotic review is a travesty but all they have ever left on CitySearch has been negative reviews about local businesses. They apparently haven't heard, "If you don't have something good to say then don't say anything at all...It's all quite simple you know. This is a great asset to Portland as it stresses healthy food that is kind to the body and soul...A REAL DIAMOND!!! Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT YOGURT, GREAT SERVICE!!! Cons: NONE more

If you like frozen yogurt, or even if you don't, you're going to love Pop Culture's Pearl Swirl! It's the best I've ever tasted anywhere! I had the 'tart' yogurt with fruit and granola toppings, and it was smooth, very yummy and low in calories too. They also make sandwiches and other treats which I'll have to try on my next visit. I say this is a great place to hang out with your friends and have a treat. more

Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating with a healthy light menu. I have reserved the upper space for my next luncheon. Soups are great - Salmon chowder and Tomato gorgonzola - delish!!! Pros: Colorful and warmly inviting Cons: I like it all more

For this restaurant being open for less than a week I thought it was absolutely marvelous. The food was great and freshly prepared. The egg salad and the tuna salad sandwiches were spectacular and the Pearl Swirl is beyond good. I thought the prices were extremely fair and I don't know what the other reviewer was referring to but there was music both times I went in and it was very mellow and refreshing. This is a treasure trove of great food and I thought the prices were exceptionally fair but then again I am from So. Cal. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The best to Pop Culture!!! more

I was walking in the neighborhood and passed by a new placed called "Pop Culture" and my curiousity led me in the door. I was pleased to find a place that serves sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. in the Pearl. I've been waiting for a place with a straightforward menu like they have at Pop Culture for awhile. I find that I am often leaving the neighborhood just to find a sanwich somewhere, but now my problem has been solved. I have yet to try the sandwiches, salads, etc, but I did try the "Pearl Swirl", which is a delicious and healthy combo of mixed fruit, honey, and granola atop frozen yogurt. Thanks, Pop Culture for a refreshing new addition to the neighborhood! more
