This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Central NJ. The prices are reasonable, the service is surprisingly excellent (unfortunately, the service at many Indian restaurants are indifferent however Pooja's waiters are nice, always are checking to see if you need refills on your drinks, and are attentive without being overbearing like at some American restaurants you pounce on you as soon as you sit down) and their mango lassi is second to none. Try the Chicken Makhni, one of their best dishes. The portions may appear small but this is deceptive; I am a 6-0 200+ pound man and I never am able to finish the main course along with an appetizer and the tasty breads they give you upon arrival with different sauces to try out.
A word of advice to the reviewer above: Don't go to Indian buffets. I thought everyone knew that. If you want to go to a good value buffet go to the Chinese ones, can't top them in terms of price or quantity of food.
Lastly, one good way of telling whether or not an ethnic restaurant is authentic is by observing their customers to see if people from that culture choose to eat there. Pooja always has at least one Indian family eating there so that is a good indication that it is a good place to eat.
Pros: Mango Lassi, Chicken Makhni, Good Value/Service
Cons: Not open between 3-5
