We went for their Sunday all you can eat menu which is advertised as including pasta, chicken, pork, seafood and veal. We had to ask 4 separate times over the course of the first hour to finally get bread and had to finally serve ourselves from the bar to get any water. The service was poor and uncoordinated but as the food begrudgingly and slowly trickled out, the quality was very poor and we kept waiting for something that tasted good. We saw cardboard lasagna with no filling or cheese, gristly chicken swimming in greasy oil, pasta bolognese that tasted like it had been sprinkled with splenda and a meatball that was so bad we could track people tasting it around the table based on the disgusted look on their faces. It had an oddly rubbery and squishy texture and bits of gristle or something that no chewing could dent. Nobody ate more than one bite of it and it became a game to force people to try it and watch them react. When we actually asked for the seafood and veal dishes that were advertised you could see the word spread up the chain of command ""They're asking for the seafood!!!"". The official answer was that they would check on it and as with the bread, after we didn't just let it go, they finally came out with a small plate of poorly seasoned fried calamari and word that they had run out of the veal at 1pm. We had reservations and sat promptly at 6pm. When we pointed out the various service and food related issues, they offered us free dessert to compensate for the fact that they had run out of several dishes, that they had dropped food on several people (walking around serving saucy food over people's shoulders really requires more care than they showed) and the fact that we waited an hour for bread and entrees. After we had ordered desserts under this understanding and had started eating them, they then stated that they couldn't comp. the desserts and that we would have to pay full price for them. If I had known that I wouldn't have ordered anything to avoid giving them another penny! If we weren't trying to put on a good face for my mother in law on mother's day we would have walked out or at least argued with them more than we did but for her sake we put on a happy face and enjoyed the company of the extended family. I have worked for years in the restaurant business and am generally extremely forgiving of restaurants as I understand back-office issues but I have never seen such poor food, poor service, poor planning and felt so strongly that we were somehow getting in their way by requesting bread, food, and water. Please be aware that they may promise and advertise good food but will not deliver and just hope you don't notice. If you do notice, they will act as if you have done something wrong and that they are doing you a favor to try to deliver on basic restaurant expectations.
