Best

We loved our visit to PCC in early Feb 2010. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful but we especially enjoyed the young people. Most were very willing to talk to us about anythin...

The best tourist location in Oahu 6/18/2006

If you are visiting, you have to go here. There is alot to see and do, so you'll be busy all day, but it's worth it. I really enjoyed learning and seeing demonstrations of the various Polynesian Cultures. The performers (mostly visiting students at BYU Hawaii, who work here to pay for their education) were very friendly, knowledgable, and skilled. I very much admired their taking classes in the morning, and then having to perform from Noon-9pm. I entered with the admission, show, and buffet dinner package. The park itself and the evening show were wonderful, and worth every penny. The buffet dinner was adaquate and not worth the price. Maybe the other dinner options are better, but they go way up in price. Next time (and I would go back, the park was great!) I'll skip the in-park meals and either eat outside the Center before the evening show, or bring my own dinner. You can't visit Oahu without spending the day here. more

Excellent cultural show; rip-off for food 6/18/2006

It can be a great place to spend afternoon and evening at. The problem is, it's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. You can still live with the price, provided you follow these tips: - DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, EAT there. Bring your own food and water bottles, refill water as needed. - DO NOT SHOP. Period. Anything you want there can be had a Hilo Hattie for 1/20th of the price. I fell for that, so trust me. - GET THERE AT 12 prompt. Otherwise you'll have no time to see all presentations, or try anything at all. There's a LOT to do and see, including IMAX movie and activities - we went straight from one activity to another for 6 hours, and didn't cover half of it! If you have kids, you'll have to come back, period (free within 3 days). - Best presentation is the one of Samoa. I laughed, I cried, I took pictures, and I'd be ready to see it 3 more times that day. Most informative: Hawaii. Tahiti and Marques ones were B_O_R_I_N_G, no wonder they only do them twice a day. - DON'T MISS THE EVENING SHOW. 'nuf said. Now, since you won't eat in the park, you can escape to the nearby Laie point, and see the sunset between the daytime presentations and the evening show. Lovely sights, I tell you :) Oh, and the Entertainment book for Honolulu has $36 off coupon for the place. more

awesome polynesian experience 11/18/2005

I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and always took my visitors to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a great cultural experience. Don't skip the night show; it's the best way to see a sampling of all the polynesian islands represented at the center and it's a lot of fun. Go to the Samoan village to learn how to husk a coconut and get some good laughs. Definitely a good way to spend a day in Hawaii. The luau is one of the most authentic you will get on Oahu. more

A favorite on my list! 10/27/2005

I always go to the Polynesian Cultural Center when visiting Oahu. I love the different cultures and always end up learning something new everytime I go. I love how the people demonstrate everything from their home islands. It is a very educational experience, but you will have a ton of fun as well! The night show "Horizons" is the most amazing show I have ever seen. You will truly feel like you are from the islands once you go home from the PCC. Definitely a MUST SEE attraction in Hawaii. You will not be disappointed! more
