Best Bankruptcy Attorney in the Triangle 2/11/2011

I was watching TV late at night and I saw an ad for a bankruptcy law firm. I have been contemplating bankruptcy for about 2 years and I was at my breaking point to have to file. However, I kept putting it off because I had no idea who to trust. The bankruptcy commercial was from the John Orcutt law firm. I do everything on my computer from paying bills, shopping, reading etc. So I Googled the word bankruptcy and John Orcutt was at the top of the search results list. I figured if he was at the top of the list then I could at least see what he had to offer. I called the law office and eagerly made an appointment for later in that week. When I showed up for my meeting I spilled my soul of debt to my interviewer. I felt like I was in confession and revealing all my sins and the secrets I had hidden from everyone for so long. My interviewer was impartial, attentive and compassionate. I felt a great relief and there was no judgment or feeling of embarrassment coming from me or my interviewer. After my meeting was over a great weight had been lifted off my back. I knew I was finally going to file bankruptcy. I thought I would be depressed about it but I was relieved. So the John Orcutt law office filed me for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. They told me everything should be settled and done within 3-4 months. My debt that I had been paying on for 8 years was finally gone. I had no more medical bills, credit card debt or loans that I could not realistically pay. I am now working again and living within my means. I have every intention to learn form my mistakes and save for a better future and that was my experience with the John Orcutt law firm. To me, they are the best bankruptcy attorneys in the Triangle. more

Excellent Bankruptcy Services 11/5/2010

I had medical bills that I could not afford. They were following me ever where I went. I could not get small loans to save my life. When you lose your job and your insurance is gone the smallest thing can cost big bucks. I had to file bankruptcy to stop the medical bills from making me sick. The law offices of John T. Orcutt did just that. more

Christmas Light Installation 11/4/2010

The first year PolarLites did my home I was the envy of the neighborhood. Every year since everyone asks me what I will be doing this year. Polar Lites never disappoints me. (Or my neighbors!) They install my Christmas lights and make my home look beautiful the entire holiday season and then come and remove and store them after the holidays. more

Seems Competent & Trustworthy 4/3/2008

Several years ago a repair shop in Downtown Sac was recommended by a coworker's husband, who used to do a lot of auto work himself and who knows an honest shop when he sees one. We used that shop to diagnose a strange starting problem--it took them a while, but they fixed it. Last year that mechanic retired and closed the shop. He turned over all his warranty work to Polar Bear; this seemed like a pretty good endorsement to me, so a few weeks ago I called Polar Bear to schedule some repairs. They replaced the front drive axles/CV joints on my Geo Metro. The next day, though, one of the CV joints failed. So it was back to the shop. They replaced the bad part ASAP, and to compensate me for my inconvenience, they did some other work on the car for no charge.\r Kevin and Art seem very knowledgeable. Art has worked in auto repair for many years and can discuss all aspects of auto repair in detail. Kevin seems to put a lot of stock in his crew; he says that he thinks his A/C guys are among the best in the trade. Polar Bear probably isn't the cheapest shop around, but it's right off I-80 and you can get an appointment fairly quickly (this will change as the days get hotter), and my impression is that this is an honest shop--something motorists across the globe consider an asset.\r A few reviewers seem to have encountered rude staff at PB, but I have had no such encounter. To the contrary, Kevin is very attentive, cooperative and accommodating. He hasn't even commented on my bad haircut. Now *that's* polite! Pros: Location, Full-Service Shop more

Very Happy with PolarBear Air! 3/28/2008

I was very happy with my AC service that was performed at PolarBear. The customer service was professional and very friendly! The technician that called to explain what was wrong with my AC seemed very knowledgable and honest. The work was completed in the time frame indicated and at a price that I feel was fair! I would definitely recommend PolarBear Auto Air to all my friends if they needed some AC service on their vehicles! James Pros: Customer Service more

Worst experience of my life. 3/14/2007

Imagine my dismay when I called after 2 weeks to inquire if my car was ready to discover the telephone estimate for repairs had gone from ""somewhere around $5500.00"" to $7800.00+. The manager was hostile and uninformative when questioned about this. When I asked about my parts , he said, we don't save parts.\r I originally selected Polar Bear because they did both engine and air conditioning work. \r After having my car towed there, I called several days later to inquire as to the problem I was told I needed a new engine. We also discussed the air conditioner not blowing very cold air. I was assured I would have an almost new car if I let them do the work and the manager said I could not go and buy a reliable used car for that money.\r When I took the car in for it's 500 mile check,"" I was told everything was fine"" despite having been advised to fill up the gas tank when it registered half full or I would be out of gas. The gas gage worked before P\r B put in the new engine.\r Three days later I informed Polar Bear that the air conditioning was not cooling adequately and I was told "" we don't guarantee air conditioning when they have a leak. He said he had"" done me a courtesy by filling up the a/c. \r I took my son in law to the shop to talk to the manager since he obviously treated women like idiots. He advised us to ""go to the bureau of automotive repairs."" Other professionals have said I was ""shafted by PB and indicated I had an excellent case against PB . I have not done so to date as I feel that slick willy will have all the technical jargon and lie like he did to my son in law despite me having proper documentation of the transactions and phone calls.\r Subsequently, my fuel pump went out and I wonder if this was perhaps the reason the gas gage did not work after they ""fixed all the problems"" and gave me back an ""almost like new car""\r Do not go to this shop. I would junk my car before I would let them touch it ever again. Cons: Poor consumer skills, unprofessional, untimely, more

User review by boese 5/17/2006

I went for a diagnostics on my AC, after paying $200 they lost my car keys. They called me while I was on my way and said they needed my spare because they had locked my keys inside. They had from 12- 5pm to call me but never did, said they didn't know. When I arrived they said I could'nt have my car back because the dash had been taken apart and they didn't know where my keys were. They lied about my keys, how can you lose someones keys? Said they would make a new one, but that doesn't change the fact that there is a spare floating around town. The manager kept shrugging his shoulders, said It's not my fault your car has problems. I had to come back the next day for my car . Not one apology for my wasted time!! Cons: rude, insensitive, over priced more
