Best Deal Around 4/6/2006

This place is by far the best place to go on a warm summer night. It costs less for TWO movies than it does for ONE movie at the regular theater. Plus, you get the overall atmosphere of being outside at a drive-in theater. They also have very reasonably-price snacks that are delicious. Try the fries! more

The last of the great CT Drive-ins 9/27/2005

This little drive-in is a great place to spend an evening. You get two movies for less than you'd pay for one at the regular theater, they have a concession stand, small but fairly clean bathrooms, and plenty of parking. Just come prepared to tune them in on the AM dial of your radio because they don't use window speakers. Great fun for a great price. more

Quaint Drive-in set in upper CT 8/5/2005

Pleasant Valley Drive-In is one of the few drive-ins left in Connecticut. It is a one screen drive-in which offers clean restrooms and an inexpensive and variety filled concession stand. The movies change regularly, and are the blockbuster hits you find at the local theater. The radio tuned audio (no speaker boxes) comes in clear and the video quality is great. There is a lot of run around space for children and dogs before the show, and the crowd is usually pretty substantial (get there around 7 if you want a good spot). I go quite often, it is a great night out. more

Old-fashioned family entertainment! 6/17/2005

One of the few things that never changes much is the drive-ins! Family-owned, one-screen facility with bathrooms and snack bar. The car speakers don't work so you use the AM radio in your car. The projector is the original that goes back to the 40's! For less than the cost of one movie at a regular theater you can see two first-run movies from your own car. Bring your own snacks or grab some hot popcorn or cold soda and ice cream at the snack ba. Get there early so the kids can play for a while before the movie starts. Open every weekend from April to October, most of the summer Thu-Sun. more
