THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR THE YOUNGER CHILDREN. If I could have given it zero out of five stars, believe me, I would have. Let me explain. There is NO ONE monitoring this place. You would THINK that parents of the older (in a lot of cases too old for this place - think 5 and 6 years old) kids would naturally be watching their own around the younger children. I have been to Play Town numerous times, and that is NEVER the case. The parents do not watch out for their 5 and 6 year olds, Play Town does not monitor them, and the end result is a catastrophic one.
For example, within 5 minutes of arriving there my two year old son already had a bloody lip; compliments of two older boys who were not using the bounce house correctly. What happened was as my son was trying to enter through the ENTRANCE and these two older boys came flying out and into my son's face. Immediately I find myself chastising these boys for their carelessness and obvious misuse of the bounce house. Mind you, there are RULES posted, for the parents I'm sure, and what these older kids did was against them. I look around, expecting, naturally, that the parents of these two would emerge and at least offer an apology. Nope. No one came. And I'm a loud person, especially when protecting my son.
Example two: This same group of boys began bullying my son in the same bounce house about 30 minutes later. These boys were again misusing it by lingering on the stairs that lead to a slide my son loves to go down. I kept seeing my son come back down these stairs (You can't see what's going on the way this is set up) and at first he was laughing. By the third time, and after hearing one of the boys coax my son by saying, ""Come on!"", and then watching as my son tumbled back down, I LOST it. I have never moved as fast as I did. I slipped into the bounce house, flew across the bouncing area and stuck my head around the corner. These boys were laughing as they blocked the stairs... Knowing they were nothing but bullies I got after them with a fire their OWN parents should have exhibited. I was so ANGRY that no one, not a parent or someone working there, had over the course of an hour stepped up to do what I had just done, that I took my son and left.
How fair is that, really? That a place set up for 6 months to 4 years doesn't either hire someone to monitor these older children around the little ones, or at least MAKE the parents PRETEND to care that their child is a heathen, is ridiculous.
I will never return. Hey, Play Town, you now charge one dollar more for entry into your extremely dangerous, hedonistic environment, I have an idea! HIRE SOMEONE TO PROTECT THE LITTLE ONES FROM THE OLDER ONES - WHO SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ALLOWED ON THOSE TOYS IN THE FIRST PLACE. I am so disgusted with this place. Makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it...
