Plain & Fancy Restaurant

Although they offer typical diner food and atmosphere, this a an OK place to hang out. They definitely beat their town rival diner. I do like the prices of things and they have a good bakery section. Don't expect the best food you've ever had, but one of the best hang-outs in town. The best part - they're open late when most places are long closed. more

I was not at all impressed with the "plain and fancy" diner in Quakertown. The prices are typical diner prices, and the food is typical diner food. In other words, the prices are a little high for the poor quality of food you are getting. On the other hand, it's open when most places aren't and the atmosphere makes you believe you are back in time when vinyl booths were in style :) more

I love diners, the food is American, always plenty of it and the prices are always just right. Plain & Fancy fits right in there with all three. I've seen this diner grow from a nice little neighborhood secret to one of the most popular places in the area. They have expanded, redecorated and yet still, they offer quality service. Best bet is their breakfasts. Hot cakes, omelets , waffles, and some of the best sausages around make this THE place for a late weekend breakfast that will fill you up and not break your wallet. The dinner menu is also very good, with some excellent desserts. The staff is the best, and the restaurant is always clean. Best place in town to grab some food, and much better than any of the “fast food” places, but just a quick. more
