Sometimes memories make the difference 2/3/2006

OK, what can I say, the pancakes are mediocre, but when you've been going to the place for 20 years plus, it has something special. This place is a Princeton institution. I can still see my roommate smiling from ear to ear as he dug into a pancake stack after an all nighter. (Heck, he's a write and allowed to do that). The pancakes are what it is all about and the service is classic New Jersey. When I took my oh so cool investor colleagues, they nearly ran out of there and headed for the nearest Starbucks. Like all NJ places, they have a certain hospitality that I've always loved. When one colleague asked for a banana, the waitress got into a car, went to the grocery store and got her a bunch of them. Now that's service. It's a must go for any alumni :_) more

Great place for breakfast...worth the wait! 8/29/2005

It's clear why this is such a popular breakfast joint. If you can hold your hunger over while you wait to get a table, then you can feast on pancakes at their best. These are the best pancakes in the area by far. As with most pancake houses, other breakfast food is also available. The restaurant itself has lots of character and history being steps away from Princeton University. The service is great.. A little overpriced, but worth it! more

Local Favorite But Crowded 8/19/2005

Pj's Pancake House is located within walking distance of Princeton University. A favorite to the locals as well as the college crowd, it serves up its famous pancakes everyday. Unfortunately, because of its position, it is impossible for them to expand to accommodate the ever-growing community. As a result, lines are often found snaking out the door. Food is somewhat pricey for what you get and how long you have to wait. more
