Julian is an apple country setting with country stores/gift shops. The lodge is just a few minutes from Julian and yet it's setting is in the forest. Clean mountain area and the sights and sounds of animals--squirrels, birds & deers. You feel very close to nature. The cabins give a very romantic setting for couples.
Pros: The friendly staff, perfect setting/location, and the cabins.
Cons: The lodge (not the cabins) have 1 common bathroom.
