A blend of tex-mex and traditional Mexican food served up by folks who care. This is the kind of eatery you see people on the travel channel seeking out, it's the hole-in-the-wall place where locals like to go.
My family goes there anytime of day... For breakfast, I'm quite fond of the greasy goodness of their chorizo, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos.
Every now and then the owner makes up a batch of her family's version of mole (sans-chocolate) - it is delicious, but It's not on the menu so you have to ask for it.
Another favorite of mine is their chicken soup - weird i know! They serve it with grated Mexican cheese, rice, and lemon wedge on the side... so good!
The green and red salsa is always good, and I like how the hotness varies a tiny bit from visit to visit.
OH! and I can't forget, their margaritas are some of the best... they don't taste like a nasty mix.
Pros: Great food, inexpensive, pleasant staff
Cons: small, fills up fast
