The best Pizza ever 6/3/2005

I am not from Upper Darby.. Im a city guy.. But as a kid my Uncle Jim played hockey up that way... He turned the family onto PICAS... It is without a doubt the best pizza.. The pizza is cheese on bottom and sauce on top, The sauce and cheese are excellent and the pie is always cooked to perfection. I live in Mayfair and I drive to Upper Darby all the time.. And if you go there without telling the rest of the family... Your in trouble.. Pros: Awesome Pizza, Full service resturan Cons: Its not in Philly, No franchise more

Weight Watchers Nightmare 3/7/2003

I have been a patron of PICAS for over 30 years. My Mother before that ( West Philadelphia location. ) In that time, I can contribute 4 inches of my waist line alone to PICAS unique square pizza (extra cheese w/pepp is my favorite.) PICAS Italian dinners are as equally outstanding. Gnocchi w/ Mozzarella cheese smothered on top, fresh hot bread and roasted peppers w/ side of hot sausage, leave room for a slice of cheese cake!! The Picas bend over backwards, forwards and jump through hoops of fire for their customers. Pizza is top-notch. Local tradition for years. more

Best Pizza 2/10/2003

Awesome Pizza from a family run restaurant. Pizza is cripsy and just thick enough. plus the sauce has a little kick that makes you just can't get enough. There's nothing like it in the world. A very unique pie which I think is made by using Italian dough equipment that was imported by the owner. Pros: Great pizza, Great serviuce more

This possibly is the best pizza ever. It is not a regular pizza if that is what your looking for. It is the originator of the square upside-down pizza. My girlfriend lives in Philly and I live in DC. She made me try Pica's pizza and let me tell you...I'm from NY originally, home of the WORLD'S best pizza, and Pica's ""cheese-on-bottom-sauce-on-top"" combination is unbelievable! Soooo good! Nothing cures hunger like a Pica's Pizza. I swear I don't work for them. I've only had it once and I'm hoping to have it again when I go up there this weekend. It's worth the two-hour drive! i think pica's(pizza) is one of those that is probably frequented because of its proximity, and not necessarily because it is the best in the area. there is too much sauce on the pizza, and you can't taste the rest, beause it consumes the pie. the rest of the menu, however is very good.
