We used Phenomenon Sound for our wedding on 5/21/11. First of all we had a consultation with them a month before the wedding to give them our ""do not play list"", ""must play list"" and to give them the correct version of our wedding song because our wedding song was the acoustic version that was pretty hard to find. They told me that that was alright because they can take it right off my iPhone, which they did right there...we saw them do it. We were feeling really confident in these guys for their thoroughness and thought we would be taken care of.
Fast forward to the wedding day. Everything was going good until it was time for the first dance, yes that oh so special time when the bride and groom share their first dance as a married couple, a memory that would last for a lifetime. But for us it was memorable for negative reasons. The DJ played the wrong version of our wedding song, we didn't realize this until the chorus when it was to late because both versions of the song sound the same until the chorus when the drums guitar and all the ""pop"" related things enter. This was highly aggravating because they took the real version off my phone. When the dancing portion of the reception came around the DJ basically played our ""do not play list"" as his first 5 out of 7 songs. So went to have a conversation with him and he told me he was ""sorry."" I asked him where his lists were that we gave his boss and he showed me one list... the do not play list that had 5 songs on it. The original list we gave them had more songs as well as a description of songs we didn't want to hear (traditional wedding songs ie. We are family, celebration, electric slide etc...). He didn't have our must play list and our 4 slow dance songs. All the songs we wanted to hear had to be requested that night, mildly annoying. We went on our honeymoon the day after and didn't have time to contact Phenomenon until 5/31 where we expressed our dissatisfaction with their services. They said they would ""look into it."" What does that mean? it is now 6/15 and haven't heard back from them. We paid a good amount of money for garbage service and ridiculously terrible customer service.
