i was referred to dr. petryna by my dentist to remove a growth from my tongue. i was nervous never having been through something like this. upon arrival his staff was welcoming and reassuring. the whole procedure was explained and i became more at ease. dr. petryna is very professional but has excellent ""bedside manner"". he again explained what he was going to do and gave me follow-up instructions.\r \r his front office manager was very friendly and explained she would call me as soon as the results came in from the lab. she did call when the results came in.\r \r overall it was a very good experience. all of his staff were friendly and efficient. i would recomment his service to anyone who is in need of oral surgery. more

My dentist referred me to Dr. Petryna in order to get wisdom teeth extracted. When I had my initial consultation Dr. Petryna was very helpful in answering all of the questions I had since I did not know what all would be involved. \r At the time of my procedure the office staff was very helpful and friendly. Everyone made me feel very comfortable prior to the start of my procedure. After my extraction when I was home recovering Dr. Petryna called me to make sure I was recovering ok and to see if I needed anything.\r All in all both Dr. Petryna and his staff went out of their way to make my consultation and the actual procedure as painless and hassle free as could be. I would definitely recommend Dr. Petryna to family and friends.\r more

My 44 year old sister was referred to Dr. Petryna for a biopsy of abnormal tissue in her mouth (which started a few weeks prior to her visit and was worsening). Dr. Petryna demonstrated extremely poor customer service/bedside manner. While my sister was bleeding and vomiting in his office, Dr. Petryna became upset that my sister was sent to him, because she had not let her prescribed antibiotics have enough time to work (for supposed sinus infection). He sent her away angrily and told her to come back in 2 weeks (when he was back from vacation).\r My sister took it upon herself to go to a ENT for assessment the next day who again recommended a biopsy. My sister went back to Dr. Petryna when he returned from vacation to get a biopsy, which he then agreed to perform. The results came back as melanoma. Dr. Petryna again demonstrated very poor customer service, a lack of compassion, and defensiveness about his delay in performing a biopsy. By the time the biopsy was performed, my sister's cancer had already spread to her liver, lung, and lymph nodes.\r We do not recommend that you utilize Dr. Petryna for care, not only due to his incompetent medical care, but even more so, because of his harsh demeanor and lack of compassion. more
