This was my first time using Pete's Gear Shop. I have an older car with 1966 engine and he spent extra time looking for parts to bring the price down for me. Everything works fine...

Pete's Gear Shop rebuilt the rear end and wheel bearings. Interactions with the people were very good. I was happy with the end result. I would use them again if I needed to. They did a good job and I was very happy. I would recommend Pete's Gear Shop. more

Peter was the only one capable of solving my problem! 8/14/2013

Peter of Pete's Gear shop solved a problem in a vehicle of mine. This same problem had occurred with another car I owned, and no one could ever get it fixed for two or three years. Well, Peter's approach finally fixed the problem. He was the only one who took care of it after all that time. He got it done quickly and at a reasonable price. The issue hasn't resurfaced since! more

Good work, when you talk to Pete, he communicates well 8/2/2013

I've used Pete's Gear Shop several times over the decades. Mostly rear end work. So far, everything's fine--no mechanical failure. I continue to come because the work is okay and the prices are fair. Not cheap, but not expensive--solid pricing. Only problem is that I told Pete not rush on the stuff I give him and it tends to get buried under his other work so four weeks will pass and I have to call and ask what's going on. Be definitive about your timelines but the people there do fine work. James Douglas more

They're great! We've been a customer of Pete's Gear Shop for about a year. They've helped us with transmission, front and rear differential stuff, and four-wheel drive. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work. The people are great. They have fair prices, great service, and they work to please the customer. more

Pete works with you to find your best solution 7/30/2013

Pete's Gear Shop is great. He always goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. He fixed transmission problems no one else could fix, he will find used parts to save you money and gives discounts when he sees how much effort and money you have put into fixing your car already. He really cares and works with you to find your best solution. I have known Pete and used him for about 10 years and he is the best! more

Pete's Gear Shop was better than average. I had Pete tear down a transmission on a vehicle that the dealer was having issues with. He diagnosed the problem before he pulled the transmission out and his diagnosis was 100 accurate. He proceeded to pull it out and repair it. The problem was exactly what he thought it was. He's very sharp and his ability is exemplary. more

Pete's Gear Shop is incredibly honest and helpful. They are available and willing to work with you. They really know their stuff and go above and beyond. I wish they worked on all aspects of car repair and I'd never have to go to anybody else. Sadly they don't, so I have to seek out other companies and I'm sad about that. Pete's Gear Shop is fabulous. more

Work on the customer's behalf, great trouble-shooting 5/8/2013

I used Pete's Gear shop to help fix my truck. They are great problem solvers and Peter was willing to adjust to meet with me and work on the project. He even opened the shop after hours for me. He explained me the problem, helped me trouble shoot so it won't happen again, and I felt he was working on my behalf instead of his own. I was recommended by friends and I would highly recommend them-especially if you are restoring a classic car or truck. more

My experience with Pete's Gear Shop was pretty good. They had a lot of knowledge about the transmission and my rear end that needed to be looked at. They fixed the transmission and replaced some part with quality parts. The car runs great now. more
