My experience visiting Petco in Woodbury was rather mixed but mostly positive. As a fairly new establishment, they must deal with the typical difficulties of getting a store up and running.
The move from Oakdale, where they had much more space to deal with, into the tiny building they have now, has made things frustrating for both customers and employees alike. They are now unable to carry the same number of products, as I discovered when I asked an associate about a certain brand of dog food I noticed was not present in the store.
Besides these minor frustrations, most customers seem to genuinely enjoy themselves as they meander through the aisles. Seeing all those furry and feathery little critters jumping about would bring a smile to anyone's face. I feel I should also mention that I was impressed by how clean the habitats were. The employees clearly care about animals.
My positive experience was soured however by an encounter with the general manager. This man's attitude was at clear contrast with the general atmosphere of the store. It would be recommended that he put an end to his career with Petco and move on to something he actually enjoys. I still feel positive about the majority of my visit, but after my experience with the GM I had to leave.
Petco, where the pets go...... :D
