The selection of dog treats and food are pretty good for a chain store. However, the staff are not very knowledgeable and they are unhelpful. Funny how the only time I got help was when the regional managers came in. At least 3-4 people asked me if I needed help that day whereas on regular days, I would be lucky if I even got a glance from them. Pros: good selection Cons: staff more

This is located in the avenues at lakeshore plaza. It's a nice area that's why I am surprised to see that this store was not well kept as I would of liked. I would hate to bring my dog here because I would not want it to get hurt or sick. WHen I came in here there were pallets in the middle of the isles and no attendants. The jumbled mess of Petco 6/30/2005

I went into the store looking for a new dog chain since, my old one is getting old but still usable. I had browesd the store and in every section, there was an employeee there just waiting to help nybody find what they wanted as well as making sure nobody steals and disturbs the pets. This was a good thing to have. I went to the dog chain section of the store and saw that they where having a sale, for 3.99 for a dog chain. I thought that would be a reasonable price, so i picked it up and went to the cash registor. While waiting in line, I had also picked up a dog treat for 1.99, some small bone toy which is supposed to be good for thier teeth. When the cash registor rang, up, the total was over 20 bucks. I asked how this could be when the dog leash is 3.99 and the treat was 1.99. Well it seems the problem was that the dog chain was misplaced, but the cashier seemed very shocked about my question and got real defensive. I settled for just the treat which was 1.99, but with all the peopl more

Good Staff 6/16/2005

I like this Petco better than the one on Bryant. The staff are always friendly, and I don't have to wait around for service. They seem to be cleaner, too. Although far from where I live, it is close to other areas I frequent, so I come here when possible. PROS: friendly staff CONS: more
