I take my family member a female Weimaraner to be seen in an emergency, because she had been acting delusional, hiding and crying under a bed, had a fever, and vaginal discharge in to be seen by the Doctor, if that is what you can call this heartless sinister con woman going by the name of Jessica Williamson, DVM.\r Without running a SINGLE test this imposter hiding behind the title of DVM begins to tell me that it is pyometra and that my dog has 48 hours to live if we do not operate. To give her credit she did at least take a rectal temperature of my baby and a vaginal swab (which was not yet looked at!). She sends a tech back in to provide me with estimates of services to be performed.\r This “estimate” was for $269.26 and included the exam, vaginal swab (cytology), blood work (CBC), and urinalysis. When I question why we need these tests if she wants to operate based off of the swab (not yet looked at), the tech knows not what to say, except she can get the doctor.\r The soulless more

Took my 13 year old dog Lilli there Jan. 10, 2013 as she'd swallowed a bone whole for the first time in her life. They took 2 views on X-ray and found nothing. Sent her home with horrible diarrhea and very sick w/ an anti-diarrhea med. Told to withhold food until next morning. Next morning gave her half a can of Alpo Lamb and Rice and within minutes she was vomiting horribly throughout my house. I knew that bone was there. Called them and took her back out immediately on the 11th at 10 a.m. they kept her overnight and ran tests for things that I did not get asked about and they still did not help her. Next day, saturday the 12th they opened at 7:30 and by 11 a.m. I still hadn't heard a word. Called and they said they still didn't have any answers but that they were sending her home with meds. FOR WHAT? THERE STILL WASN'T A DIAGNOSIS and one of the meds was a med they had sold me on the 10th that I hadn't used any of because she had to go back. Per their request I provided the county animal shelter documentation at the time of my dog's spay. This was so that they could direct bill the shelter for her surgery. I then received a bill for $80 for the spay. Upon contacting the vet, the "office manager" advised me that they have no contract with the shelter and that I needed to pay the bill and attempt to get reimbursement from the shelter. This is not what I was told by their office or by the shelter. After discussing this for 20 minutes she refused to do anything further. I contacted the shelter and was reassured that they did in fact have a contract with the vet and that the vet's office had just called them asking for my adoption paperwork because they had "lost it". When I attempted to call the vet back to make certain that they had the paperwork and would be following up, I was yelled at and hung up on by the "office manager". Great care by the veterinarian staff, abhorrent care by the office staff. The "office manager" spent 20 minutes arguing with me about a bill for a spay that was covered by the county animal shelter. After I called the shelter and confirmed that I was in fact correct, I attempted to call the office back. She picked up the phone, addressed my directly by name (I assume they have caller ID), yelled "We're done", then hung up on me. I expected an apology, or at the very least something to the affect that it was being taken care of, but no such luck. Very unprofessional in my opinion. more

I would like to give my opinion of Pet Plex Animal Hospital and Dr. Doug Poorman and staff. I have been using Pet Plex for over 10 years. We have had two dogs, a beagle-mix (age 18) and a mini-dachshund (age 4). I have never had a bad experience with Pet Plex. On the contrary, Dr. Doug is the most caring vet I have ever encountered. On one occasion, I called on July 4th because my beagle had swallowed a chicken leg whole (inhaled it like a vacuum!). I was scared to death for her and when I called, Dr. Doug answered personally, talked me through it, and put my mind at ease. He has always given me honest answers when I ask questions about treatment options available and the associated costs, and I never feel like he is trying to "upsell" me. I have also called him late in the night when our beagle, who had pancreatitis and had begun to have night seizures, was having a spell and he offered to meet me at the clinic to see her (it was probably 2:00AM). tracy gray is the worst groomer there is she say's she has 18 year's under her belt!!! lol i didn't have 18 sec. under my belt and can do better! she cut my dog up from head to bull and to toe no JOKE i had to run him back in there his nail was bleeding so BAD it scared me to death! they give my money back but i wounld NOT take my dog there again if they gave me a year free grooming! i'm not jokeing here DO NOT LET HER GROOM YOUR DOG!!!!! I took my cat to be declawed/ neutered and they had me sign a form stating that if my cat had fleas they would charge me $30 to treat him, he went with no fleas and they never charged me, but he certainly came back with them. I would assume that they made everyone sign this form and i would not have been angry if they had not told me i would have to pay to remove any fleas, but they did and that would make me think they would have no fleas in their facility. That was 2 years ago and now that they do free flea treatments i am taking my female to be spayed/ declawed, but believe me if my animal comes home with fleas they will have lost not just one customer but my entire family as well. more

Dr. Doug Poorman and his staff are the greatest. Thanks to them Sadie my miniature pinscher is very very well. She had to have emergency surgey and they did a very remarkable job for sure. I will always go to Dr. Poorman. Him and his staff make you feel very comfortable and yes, they are for the animals that is for sure. Keep up the great work Dr. Poorman and staff. more

My female lab needed emergency surgure on may8th. I searched to find a vet in the middle of the night . when i called petplex not only did i get an answer but it was dr poorman himself. we did the emergency surgure and midnight is doing great . i cant say enough about dr poorman and his staff . I would recomend them again and again . thanks to them midnight is back to herself and very happy . Ive used alot of vets as i have horses and have never seen a vet that cares more about the animal than the ppl at petplex. they care about the animal NOT THE MONEY. I took my dog Buttons there about 6 months ago....he had been very sick and I had taken him to my normal veterinarian the day before. They were unable to diagnose what was going on so they referred me to a specialty clinic in Columbus. I decided to look for a second opinion locally and had heard many good things about Petplex. I took Buttons there and we were both treated wonderfully. Fortunately, they had the diagnostic tools necessary, in the clinic, to get us on the right track. They were able to begin treatment that same day and followup the next day with the last test necessary to finalize the diagnosis. I am so thankful that I was able to be seen at Petplex and not have to travel into Columbus to be able to help Buttons...he is as much a part of our family as anyone! Petplex has even gone out of their way to help us find a less expensive source for Button's medication.....THANK YOU PETPLEX!!! more

We took our dog Bailey to Pet Plex the week after the fourth of July. Bailey had hot spots. They gave us steroids and an antibiotic to treat him. Baileys hot spots got better but he got very sick and could hardly walk within a week after taking him. We took him to our vet (we have a cottage at Buckeye Lake and were there for the week) and our vet asked us if we continued to give Bailey the medicine Ducalox (not sure of spelling, an arthritis medicine) while treating him with the steroids. We said yes and they informed us the two taken together will cause bleeding ulcers and other complications. We had to put Bailey to sleep on Friday July 17. Pet Plex asked my husband what kind of medicine Baily was on and my husband said something for arthritis, which they should have then called our vet to see what he was on. Or they should have told him not to administer the medication until they checked with our vet. I am only writing this because I don't want something like this to happen to someo more

I have been going to Petplex with my dogs Lacey and Lexy now for about 5 yrs. and I recently got an other pup and I'm telling you that you will never find another Vet Office that cares for animals the way they do. Each and everyone of them are willing to help you with anything that you need help with and they have never failed to get me in if one of my dogs needed something. They know how important your animals are to you. Both Vets are great and the office manager is fantastic and all of the girls that work the desk are great and the Vet Techs are fantastic and the groomer is so great with dogs. I just can't say enough good things about them. I feel great with them by my side and helping me to care for my dogs. more

I have had both of my cat's neutered and declawed at petplex, and both of them have had their shots up to date with them. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, and very compassionate. They express genuine caring and understanding for animals, which is something that some vet's lack nowdays. Even though my cat's don't care for them....my husband and I are definately pleased at the level of care our animals obtain from this vet. Definately would recommend them to any animal owner. more

Katie and i had our first visit today 3-24-08 at Petplex and had a great time. The staff and doctor were caring and nice. The office was clean and odor free! They answered all my questions and were very helpful. They treated Katie as if she was a princess! I was impressed with the items they also sold at reasonable prices such as food , treats. collars, clothing and toys. I could tell they all really do care about each and every animal that they come into contact with. more

Very reasonal price to have pet surgery. Employees were pleasant and seemed to real care for animals. In checking prices, there price to have an animal spayed was about half of other local vets. more

My experiences with the PetPlex Animal Hospital have been wonderful! They are great with the animals and make things quick and painless for the animals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their prices are the best around that I have found! more
