Pet Mart

I work in Buffalo and live near Batavia, so I have access to many pet food stores. Pet Mart in Batavia has the best selection of high quality pet foods in all of Western New York. If you are looking for food without all the preservatives and fillers, this is your store. During the Chinese Gluton pet food scare, I had no worries. The dog and cat food I was feeding my pets (bought at Pet Mart) was not on the recall lists. more

I don't know anything about the personal lives of anyone affiliated with this store, but the store itself is spectacular. The customer service is great. The people are actually knowledgeable about the fish, which anyone who has ever bought fish from a big box store will appreciate. The fish rooms are so clean you can just smell the clean. The fish are all healthy & won't bring home something that will wipe out your tank. They have so many fish that my family & I will sometime make the half hour trip on a Sunday afternoon so my boys can look at the fish. Its like a little fish zoo with an entire room of salt water fish & an entire room of pond & gold fish. After getting fish from there, I won't ever buy fish from anywhere else again. They also have a room of less than perfect cages & tanks where I got a super great deal on an enormous bird cage for my finches that was in perfect condition...just needed a little cleaning. Pet mart, originally a good store but in hands of a manager that cares about no one it crumbles. Manager, Kenny has recently fired a great worker named Dustin. After which he threatened to attack Dustin in the face if he didn't get out of his store. Also previous worker, Mike had a phone bill that ended up in petmart, after which the manager Kenny shut off the phone and started up a new phone with the same number and called and texted only on that phone, ruining MIke's reputatoin.If you think this is bad last year Kenny got reaaly picky with work and yelled at workers doing a great job because of an afare with his wife. He also hired another girl that was horrible at work and did nothing, yet was given a big paycheck.So in conclusoin under the hands of better managent Petmart could be a lot better than it is now.. low selection on animals, but you can not be the amount of supplies and the value was great. Best for saltwater fish, other animal selection was low. Best of all it was very large, clean and organized. more
