Perron's Sul Lago

Food is absolutely awesome, but I especially love the warm ambience. Golds, greens, and dark wood makes you think you are in Tuscany. Wait staff is especially excellent and the service is for you alone. I can see why they have won many national and international awards. Who would think this exists in our Prior Lake. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys fine dining. more

We had heard tons of great things about Sul Lago (as the locals call it) so decided to check it out. This is high end, Italian influenced dining. Beatifully prepared plates. I had possibly the best lamb shank I have ever had. We had taken my parent's out for their birthday and my mother absolutely raved about the Veal Marsala, and if you know my mother she is very particular since she ran/chef'ed a number of restaurants. Everyone else enjoyed their meals just as much. Perron's is old style dining. Expect to spend a couple of hours enjoying the meal. They don't rush you to increase their seatings and in fact seem to implore you to take your time. It is a cozy, comfortable place that overlooks a park. (and a large pond - not Prior Lake) Highly recommended more

This restaurant was recommended on MPR one day so I wrote it down to visit some time. Finally we had a chance recently to visit and it is great! It is a cute little place right on Prior Lake. It isn't the easiest to find since it is on the upper level of a building - but it is well worth it! I ordered the chicken - and it was pretty good - but my husband ordered the steak on a recommendation by our waiter and it was amazing! Seriously the best steak I have ever tasted! This place is run by a local chef and it is well worth the drive down to Prior Lake. However, don't come here thinking that it could be a quick meal. This is fine dining so they take their time and let you savor their food. We had a ton of fun! more
