I brought my kitten in with a broken leg to this hospital. Not only did I wait almost 45 mins while my cat was in pain and some of you were chit-chatting with each other outside our waiting room (with only a handful of others to wait on), but the results were devestating.
You told me my cat's fractured leg would require surgery of almost $2,000.00. Or, I could have his leg amputated for a lower cost. On the sheet of paper you handed me, you said surgery would be needed to correct many of his issues. Funny, because I got a second opinion. Not only did they laugh at the idea of amputation, but they said surgery would possibly cause more issues.
One month and only $170 later plus a free visit at my main vet, my cat is walking normally again after wearing only a splint. Which, by the way - the second vet had to replace.
But what I find outstanding is this...When I brought my cat back to your clinic (because of his immense pain) to stay overnight (you almost wouldn't take him). On top of it all, one of your staff members called me (20 mins after I arrived home after an exhausting night) to request I come back because I forgot to bring my cat's pain killers and leave them with you! Then informed me you would need to charge me if I didn't come back. You also charged me AGAIN to replace the cast YOU put on my cat's leg because it was not secure the first time! Are you serious? You're an animal emergency vet and you couldn't spare one vile of pain killer after I dished out hundreds for the visit or replaced a cast that was poorly put on in the first place? And on top of everything, you charged me for an additional set of shots my cat already had...you said it was just procedure...but this was after you already handled my animal.
shame on you. at least pretend you care about your profession.
