If you're from England and you want a quick reminder of floral wallpaper, clotted cream and yummy scones, this is a good place.
If you're looking for a glamourous place to impress the Bentley and Aston-Martin crowd, this isn't it. But the tea is superb, the ladies are kind and helpful, and lunches are very tasty.
The English Rose is on Laurel Street -- a great pedestrian-friendly shopping street. After tea, wander down to the the ChefShop, where they have great selection of professional cooking ware. (At times, it beats Williams-Sonoma.) Or, over to Shelby's Garden -- full of darling gifts and stationery.
