While I used to think Pelican had some of the best eggs benedict ever, I went there this weekend and was extremely dissapointed! I had a the standard eggs benedict with a side of potatoes. The coffee was extremely hot and bitter, the poached egg was way too raw and sat on the burnt english muffin with a big splash of water from the poaching that made the muffin soggy. My husband found a big hair in his potatoes and mine still had eyes on some of them, they hadn't even been properly cleaned before cooking. The hollandaise sauce itself was extremely bland. The whole meal was horrible, especially for something costing over $20 for breakfast.
The chefs in the back looked dirty and unkept, and one chef's apron was completely smeared with grease and dirt. I won't go back here.
