Incapable of providing an appropriate exam environment 7/28/2021

I would give them 0 stars if I could. We had been bringing our twins (3-years-old now) here since they were born. Level of care has plummeted in past year since COVID. Recently, twins had a fever plus a barking cough and hoarse/sore throat. We scheduled a car visit. The nurse insisted that they come out of the car one by one, which caused the twin left in the car to cry, and the nurse wanted to sit them in the bed of my pickup truck. I said no, so the nurse sat them on a wet concrete wall. She asked me if they had a fever for 5-6 weeks (not days, weeks), and I corrected her: it was under 72 hours and the fever had broken. Then she demanded a COVID test, which I refused without symptoms justifying it compared to more common illnesses like strep. She demanded it again, and when I refused again and asked for a strep test, she grudgingly performed that but then walked back inside without any diagnosis or follow up. We never spoke to a doctor. I put my kids back in the car and left. We went to a local Urgent Care instead, they had a telemedical visit with a doctor who answered my questions, COVID and strep tests were performed, but we determined it was croup after learning they had been exposed to that. The Urgent Care doctor prescribed them prednisone, and all the COVID and strep tests came back negative (no surprise there). Totally inappropriate exam environment (outdoors on wet parking lot concrete!!) for 3-year-olds sick with croup, the kids were on the verge of tears afterward, nurse was rude, and totally failed to offer any diagnosis. Go elsewhere. more

Rude! 8/26/2011

I went to the practice twice and waited well over an hour each time before I was seen. This was with an appointment! The receptionist were argueing with each other and so rude. I would not reccommend this practice unless you would like to be totally frustrated. more

Long waits, rude receptionist 8/6/2010

While the medical care is good, it is not unusual to wait 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours for a scheduled appointment. I have been there several times when parents have walked out of well visits because the wait was too long. The receptionists can be exceptionally rude. more

Love them 6/12/2009

While the doctors are busy (what doctors aren't these days), I am always given their undivided attention when we are there. The doctors know my children. They call them by name. They follow up with me at any hour of the day or night. I wouldn't change pediatricians for the world. more

Saved my daughters life 2/3/2007

The professional doctors took my 9 year old daughter's complaint seriously and did follow up testing. Instead of brushing her off they saved her live. I expect delays when I go to a doctor. I'm there for quality more

Good Pediatrics 8/15/2005

Pretty much all the youngsters in New Providence belong to the Pediatric center (some all the way through high school). It is a professional establishment with trained doctors that still manages to make flu shots bearable for kids. Only downside is the disagreeable receptionist, but when children's health is concerned - who cares? more

good professional doctors 8/15/2005

The pediatric center has a mix of female and male doctors who perform hard for their children patients. They almost always know what they are doing and are very professional about their job. The only downside of the pediatric center is the long wait times. It is typical to wait at least thirty minutes for a typical check up and even longer if your child is actually sick. more
