Our steak was great! The salad bar wasn't as good as I remembered, but it was still very good. Our service was also very good. It is a bit expensive, but a good steak is worth it! more

This is a really tough restaurant to ""review' - and while I can't be quite as tough on it as a couple of the reviews below - I more or less agree with what they are saying. Beautiful location and a great facility. They have a high quality salad bar (which is similar to ""The Park"" restaurant which is owned / operated by the same folks). Beyond that - we were, frankly, disappointed. It is promoted as ""the best in Gatlinburg"" - and it just isn't (although it is priced as though it were). The food is certainly OK - but it is not exceptional - and the menu is fairly limited. Can't say that anything was ""bad"" - - it is just not all that it is promoted to be. If you are going to go - take advantage of their call ahead seating. Pros: Location, facility, salad bar Cons: Price, value and overall quality of the experience more

I didn't like the Peddler but I can't put my finger on why. All meals are expensive and come with a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is fresh and has lots of variety - including smoked oysters which I ate by accident. A waitress told me they were artichoke hearts but I didn't think they looked like artichokes. What a shock when I bit into it. A waiter comes to your table and cuts your meat in front of you. That is a nice touch but my steak was not cooked as I requested it to be. It took some time to get my food and I didn't want to send it back. Dinner for two (no drinks or dessert) was $75.00. If you choose to go, arrive early, later there is a wait.
