I had some out of town guests visiting and I wanted to take them out for dinner one night. They wanted to try something different so I suggested that we go to Peacock Gardens in Diamond Bar. They agreed and so we went. It was my first time there as well as theirs. To my surprise, the food wasn't just ""good"", it was fabulous! I ordered chicken tikka with garlic naan and my friends ordered some curry dishes with side orders. Everything was outstanding and the waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. My friends begged me to bring them back next time they visit. If you want a pleasant dining experience with scrumptious food at great prices, you must go to Peacock Gardens! more

yummy indian food 8/12/2012

Oh my god! this restaurant is the best Indian restaurant in LA county! I really love their service! The workers do a great job at serving you and frequently asking you if everything is great or if we need anything on the table! I especially love the owner Raj he's very friendly and likes to talk to customers and get to know each and everyone! which I really like that about him! So I really suggest this restaurant to anyone who is coming to eat indian restaurant! more

I am giving this place a 5 because i have absolutlely no complaints. its hard to find good service & food in the Diamond Bar area in my opinion. I ordered the goat meat,chic-tikka-masala, Plaine basmati rice & garlic naan. The service was fast & food taste was yummy prices were good .I have had my share of overpriced indian cuisine, But this place was good and worth the price. Surprise was in the end server give us dessert even we did,nt order.Highly reccommanded this place, more

We are never going here again! 5/28/2012

WE ARE NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN! My family has been going to this restaurant for a very long time. We decided to throw an engagement party there and that was a HUGE MISTAKE!! We were ensured by Raj, the owner that we would not have to worry about ANYTHING. Please read about everything that went wrong: FOOD (seemed like they just took the leftovers from the afternoon event and used it for our party) Rice was like mashed potatoes had to be remade Naan was cold and ran out Chicken murgh masala was supposed to be boneless, but wasn't Ras malai was chewy, dry and undercooked Kofta was uncooked Paneer dish had very few pieces of paneer No daal was served, which we had asked for in our agreement Kheer was not served on time Lassi was served at the end of dinner not during appetizers Tea was not good at all - tasted like water Coffee was not very good and it was served way too late SERVICE - the owner and his manager had loads of attitude to us and our guests the entire night - we paid for a full, open bar and all they did was give us 6 bottles of alcohol and when they ran out there was not any more. They didn't provide any wine although they have a huge wine rack at the front door. They also only provided Bud Light and Tecate when there were Corona and Heineken in a cooler at the bar and they wouldn't serve it. They were way too understaffed and we had to keep reminding them to clean tables more

Wowwwwwwwwwww 10/26/2011

peacock was a wonderful treat! I wish I could have taken a picture of my plate. I try to stay away from breads/starch/gluten type carbs so I happily paid more for a large serving of Saag. My plate was stacked with 5 saucy delicious Indian delights. \r i've been to this place twice for dinner, and both times were okayyyyy. \r it's a very dark and quiet place, and both times i was there, it wasn't busy at all.\r \r the food is decently priced. the garlic naan is BOMB, and the curries are pretty good too. 3 stars because dont like my spinach curry as spinach-y, but grinded up more (if that makes sense?). we tried the chicken tikka masala of course, as well as this one coconut curry.\r \r don't be deceived; the portions look really small, as they are brought out in this little bowl thing, but its definitely very filling. the veggie samoas are alrightttttt... does not compare to any thing\r \r \r The food was delicious: all was rich, flavorful, and aromatic. The Saag was disappointing. more

Peacock garden \r \r The waiters were nice and helpful.\r \r The tables are way to close to each other, and you end up hearing too much of the conversations of other customers. \r \r The food was ok. I've had better indian, and I wouldn't even count myself as a food snob. It just seemed like a lot of the dishes served were reheated and were not fresh. The Raita, for instance, was too watery in consistency and weak in taste. \r \r Oh parking, beware!!! We have an GMC Acadia (big car) and we made the mistake of parking in their parking lot, . The parking structure was incredibly tight, and we almost scratched our car trying to get out. Thus, park somewhere else if you have a big car.\r \r This was my first visit, and a very pleasant surprise. I was in a hurry to get a quick dinner for my kids, who wanted to eat Indian food, so i chose this somewhat randomly since it was close. \r \r We didn't order much: chicken tikka, vegetable samosas, basmati rice, plain naan, and chapati bread. And the plain more

My experience 10/26/2011

Hi My name is Laura ..........Okay so I really like Indian food. I guess I eat it pretty often than your typical non-Indian person. I found out about peacock garden from my new laptap that I received from my aunt as a gift. And the first thing i want to say is what and AWESOME find!! I loved the food!i wnt to share my experience with you guys\r Here is what we got:\r \r Vegetable samosa ($4) - it came with two pieces which was perfect for my mom and me. Exactly what i was hoping it would taste like.\r \r lamb saag (10.95) - SOOOO GOOD! Creamy spinach with chunks of tender lamb. It is essentially paneer saag but instead of the cheese you get meat. I would definitely recommend this for future goers.\r \r Tamota soup:tomato soup midly spiced flavoured with cream and ajawn seeds awesome\r \r chicken tiki masala (10.95) - A classic dish. It was just the right amount of creaminess, curry, sweetness. \r \r garlic naan (2.95) - Of all of the naan I've ever tried their naan is the BEST! It is ve more
