Pax Wholesome Foods

This PAX happens to be directly across from where I work, so it's convenient on a busy day to grab a bite to eat. I am sorry that I ever went there. Within 2 hours of eating one of their ""fresh"" and ""wholesome"" sandwiches, I started to feel quite sick. By that evening, I had the worst food poisoning of my life that lasted for 4 days and included a trip to the hospital. When I told some of my coworkers about my experience, I was shocked to find out that many had very negative views of the place - 1 coworker said she ""didn't feel right"" after eating there, another said, ""Oh, I never go there. I've heard bad things"", one coworker told me she heard of ""several"" people getting sick from their food, and yet another said they found a roach in their soup. I reported them to the department of health and learned my lesson. I will never eat at this (or any) PAX again. And they got an A from the board of health? Yeah, right... more

We ordered two panini sandwiches, one chicken and avocado (the better choice), and a turkey and cheddar. The sandwiches were fresh and hot and came with the dipping sauce on the side. We liked the fact that the calories were displayed for every item along with the price. We also ordered a carrot cake square for dessert. Upstairs is nice, quiet and great for people watching. We recommend this place for a satisfying, inexpensive and tasty lunch. Pros: good food, great location for people watching more

They use the greatest ginger dressing here for the best salads. The salad is more crisp and the ingredients haven't been sitting out forever. I would stay away from the wraps, I really don't think they're that good but the salads are fantastic. The only down side......ordering a few ingredients will set you back $10. A little pricey for a lunch salad. more
