I had my hair colored and cut with Niko; everybody told me that I was awesome with color and cuts. I made my appointment for a full highlight and even brought in a couple pictures of the range of shades I was looking to stay within. It was nothing I haven't had done before on a one time visit. Niko was friendly and listened to what I had to say and paid attention to what was going on with my hair. I have longer natural curly hair with layers and how Niko could fix the three styles I apparently had going on. It has been 3 months now and it still looks amazing. I walked in around lunch time. \r \r After I walked in to Patricia’s hair salon I was promptly greeted and was told Niko would cut my hair once he was finished with his lunch. Not five minutes pass and Niko comes out and introduces himself. We go through the usual formalities of how I want my hair cut that is short on the side, don't cut my bangs short though, etc and off we go. A flurry of different clippers, scissors and small talk ensue and before I know it we are on to the neck shave and hot towel. In total I was in and out in about 30 minutes but I felt I could have spent longer. I will go back soon to Patricia’s hair salon as I think it’s been over a month. NYC Hair Salon has the most humble and patient stylist. She made it all about me and really took the time to ask me the right questions before she just started cutting without asking. She gave me the most beautiful bob shape. I usually always have choppy pieces after my haircuts because my neckline is so low. However, she gave me the best haircut I have ever had. It was well worth the time she spent and the price. I always pay a bunch and still walk out not 100% happy. I was so lucky to find NYC Hair Salon. I had been to several so called up-scale and highly recommended salons and I was not pleased with the service or the attitudes of the stylists.
