RELIABLE, TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST PEOPLE! 9/20/2011

I LOVE passport motors. Jim, the mechanic, spent HOURS on my Audi and Trish, the office manager, is awesome! I was terrified to find a new mechanic after my old one ripped me off (NEVER GO TO CROSSROAD'S EUROPEAN) but am in love with the people and the work at Passport Motors. I have moved, but continue to drive the 45 minutes to get my car worked on here. more

Great car repairs. 8/29/2009

We have taken our cars here for 9 years. I have been impressed with the service we have received. The prices are fair. The mechanics give accurate quote for repairs. They have on more than one occasion talked out with us the pros and cons of repairs now v waiting. Highly recommend. more

Best mechanic EVER 8/24/2009

My husband and I have both been using Passport for more than 10 years. (Since before we met each other!) They have helped us shepherd our ancient Toyota Tercel past 175,000 miles. They fixed an o-ring leak on our VW that had baffled the dealership. When they don't know something off-hand, they look it up in books or online! Also, Trish, the office manager, rocks. Pros: smart mechanics, friendly service, reasonable prices Cons: no real waiting area more

The honest garage everyone tries so hard to find 5/6/2008

The worst part of moving some place new is trying to find a good, honest mechanic. After a few trials and and a few errors, I ended up at Passport Motors in Chapel Hill. I didn't know it right away, but I had found "the one". The people are super friendly (not the fake friendly- but the genuine kind) and their service is 100% dead on and .... THEY DON'T OVER CHARGE YOU!!! What a novel idea, huh? Even though their "specialty" is with VWs, they seemed to know just as much about my Honda Accord. I can't say enough good things about these folks-- they really know what they are doing, don't rip you off and their service is fast and friendly. A rare find! Pros: service, cost, knowledge, expertise... Cons: none more

Excellent service 6/28/2006

Passport Motors has been maintaining my wife's 2001 New Beetle for over a year now. While I would not give the car itself a good review, Passport has done an outstanding job troubleshooting and servicing the vehicle whenever trouble arises (often). They are also friendly, honest, and fair. Pros: Great with VW, Friendly, Honest Cons: No body work done here more
