Average Food, Horrible Service! 4/3/2010

Here is my review: In a few words, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. However; I must unequivocally say that the service was next to worthless. To make a long story short; my sister had selected this restaurant to celebrate my wife?s and I eleventh year wedding anniversary. We made a reservation for 6 in the PM for a group consisting of six individuals. We were running a little behind and my sister contacted the establishment to inform the restaurant about this. We arrived at 6:08 and sat down at our table at 6:10. Our waiter, which we shall affectionately refer to as the ?Clown Wannabe?, AKA Greg, greeted us with a ?warm? you are late welcome. That was the first time this was brought to our attention. He comes back to get our drink order and this individual has the audacity to tell us that, and I quote: ? It is imperative that you be here on time when you make a reservation because we have this table reserved for another paty at 8:00 PM?. OK at this point my ears are turning red with anger. Never mind that it is my Wife?s and I eleventh year wedding anniversary. We wanted something special, but instead we received a lecturing from a waiter that pretends to be funny, but he is not, pretends to be friendly, but he his certainly not. The idiot waiter kept referring to us as ?young people?. At what point in a business does the customer become nothing more but a child? I am 36, my wife is 32 and our guests that were accompanying us were in their 40?s. I have been in restaurants with a 5 star rating and have never been treated this way. It was very condescending just to put it delicately. We were also charged for two ?corking fees? but our waiter did not touch our Champagne bottles even once. We had to open and serve our own bottles of Champagne. This place must think that it is the S***S, but truthfully, The Olive Garden has better food. Needles to say, so much for a good first impression. This is the place that you definitely do not want to patronize, unless of course you, the paying customer, enjoys to be lectured by the wait staff. Pros: Good food at reasonable prices Cons: Lecturing the customer! more

Authentic? Check. Delicious? Double check! 12/28/2009

If I could go to Parmas everyday for all of my meals I still couldn't get enough. My husband and I have been eating here since soon after they opened. Excellent prices- you can't find more quality food for the same price anywhere in the metroplex. This isn't your ordinary hole-in-the-wall Italian joint- this is a hidden treasure that once discovered people drive from distances for. This is the place we celebrate special occasions at. We tell everyone we know about it. Seriously, my only fear is that they'll realize they're good enough to start charging five star prices! Pros: Where do I begin? Cons: That it isn't in my kitchen more

Great place for price 12/4/2009

Cozy, place. Great value, where else can you get Parmesan Chicken for 7.99 in a full service restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed it so much, we ate there two nights in a row and both were fantastic. We had two different servers, both very nice, they did not rush us at all. I love the fact that you can bring your own wine and the staff doesn't make you feel like your being cheap for doing so. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, just be prepared to wait a little while. Tony, Adrien, Greg and the crew....GOOD JOB! Keep it. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Cons: Minimal waiting area more

Horrible experience 10/17/2008

Pros: byob Cons: service or lack thereof more

I love this place! 8/26/2008

Parma Pasta & Pizza is such a great little restaraunt! I have been there many times and have NEVER had an unpleasant experience. Yes, the wait is a little long on weekends, but the food is worth it!! The appetizers are great and not too filling, their salads are fresh, and their pasta is to die for! The staff is friendly and the decor makes you feel at home. This is by far the best food for the best price in town. Try them at lunch when their specials are unbeatable! Pros: Prices, Atmosphere, and Food Cons: Weekend Wait more

Just Great Italian Food - PERIOD. 8/19/2008

The restaurant is small, and gets packed quickly on the weekend nights, but it is so worth it. The pizza is top-notch, and the other dishes I've tried are perfect. The lobster ravioli is what my wife likes the best. The lunch prices are dirt cheap for the quality of food you get. Make it a point to visit Parma. Pros: Pizza, Lobster Ravioli, Lunch Prices, Atmosphere, Movie Memorabilia Cons: Crowded Weekend Nights, Closed Sunday (no pizza for football season) more

Great neighborhood Italian 3/10/2008

While it can be busy (seating is first come, first served), this little gem is worth it. Great pizza, pasta and salads. The portions are good size, not too small, not too big. Prices are better than most places without sacrificing quality. They have take out service also if you don't want to dine in. Don't be put off my its ""strip-mall"" location, this is probably one of the better Italian places in DFW. Pros: Great food at great prices, good kids menu as well Cons: Can get very busy (Friday nights) and its a small space more
