My daughter removed part of my cornea with her fingernail when she was 6 months old. I went to the ER when it happened late on a Thursday. I also followed up on Saturday and Sunday at the ER. My eye kept getting worse. Monday morning the ER got me a consultation right away with Dr Parks. He was wonderful. He completely saved my sight and said that if it hadn't been treated when it was I might have needed a corneal transplant. The staff is wonderful and efficient. The wait can be a little long to see the doctor. Its worth it though since he doesn't rush his visits with his patients. Everyone gets all the time they need.
