Hands down the best breakfast I've ever eaten. Portions were extremely sufficient; the home fries were crispy golden light brown 'whole' round potato slices of heaven, the hand rolled omelet was perfection, and the service was wonderful. I will drive back here to eat anytime I possibly can. Minnesota is not that far away from Matawan...YUM YUM YUM! more

Decent food, poor service 5/13/2007

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to eat, keep looking. While the menu is extensive and very reasonably priced the service makes it not worth your time. The hostess was down right rude and the service was slow. While the food was average the diner was not worth stopping out with so many better choices around. more

Nice diner, good food 10/13/2006

I have gone to the Park Place Diner, or the Sunshine Diner as my kids call it (do to the building's facade) and I have always had a good meal with a small check at the end. I like the food and the service is quick. The whole diner is clean and quite large, and the staff and management is friendly and very helpful. I also like it because it is truly family and kid friendly which is good with having two small ones. I do recommend this place!!!! more

Excellent Food, great prices! 8/11/2005

I love Park Place Diner, we've been going there for years, back when it was the Millstone Diner. Best salad bar in the area! Lots of regular diner food and awesome daily specials. You can't beat the prices for soup, salad bar, entrée, dessert and a beverage. I love the desserts too. The chocolate cream pie is fantastic. The service is fine, the waitresses are very friendly and polite. You have to wait in line on Friday and Saturday evenings, they get so packed. And Sunday mornings? Terribly crowded! Best time to go is during the week at 4:30! Definitely recommend! more

Average food, below average service 8/10/2005

For somewhere to just grab something cheap to eat at night this is a decent place, but of course you get what you pay for. The food is average for the price, but the service is nothing comparable to what you would expect at any sort of restaurant or diner. The employees will argue with you if they feel like it, and generally the place is filled with shady characters that make you feel like you shouldn't be there. more
