Paradise Grille

After living in New York for the past 10 years, I had almost given up on San Diego Restaurants when I stumbled on Paradise Grille!Wine list is amazing, not over over whelming, just right. Menu has something for everyone, I had the the Black Cod Miso Yaki, my friend and I split a mediterranean salad and he had the margarita pizza, Chef must be from Italy it was that good! Service was prompt. Her recommendations were right on. This is my new favorite hang out! more

I met some coworkers from my last company at Paradise Grille for a nostalgic holiday get together this week. We ended up outside in the area facing the mall. The heaters were a bit much, but I really liked the lounge style seating area. We had about 8 people and we had a nice living room like area to schmooze and chat. The beverages were great, I had the Paradise Martini. As advertised it was paradise in a martini glass. So very tasty! I had a second to make sure the quality was consistent, I am just that self sacrificing :) We ordered happy hour appetizers, First the Margarita Pizza, the mozzarella tasted really fresh and creamy. We ordered a second for the sake of quality assurance as noted above. Thankfully they were able to pass our test plan and we checked all of the appropriate boxes in our documentation. Next on the list was the Yaki Beef Tenderloin. Yes, this was also subjected to the rigorous secondary testing protocol. And....it was good. The peanuts and mango really complemented the beef. Finally the firecracker shrimp. Tasty tender and spicy as advertised. This is a nice local NC eatery, I look forward to trying it again soon. more

One of our favorites..really!! Always stays updated with menu and service. Both Conner and his wife are excellent host and Hostess. Teddy at the bar always quick and pleasant. more

We choose Paradise Grill on the recommendation of a friend and joined another couple there. We decided to eat at the chef's counter, a bar that allows you to overlook the kitchen. This is fun for us, because we cook, but sometimes it can be tough with four people. The Grill's bar though has a helpful curve, so it is much easier to hold a conversation. We arrived a little before our friends and enjoyed a glass of wine and the Fire Shrimp appetizer - recommended by Lindsey our outstanding server. I was impressed by the wine choices - great quality and reasonably priced. The rest of the meal was also excellent. I ordered the Angus meatloaf and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever eaten (sorry Mom). We also sampled salmon (perfectly cooked to very specific special instructions) and scallops. All were delicious. While we ate we saw a continual parade of burgers being prepared in the kitchen, so they must be good. I will make sure to try them next time. more

I like the food.. definitely fusion.. Atmosphere is good as well.. Service could be better.. but really.. the service is connected to personel.. and that varies.. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dining experience.. Take heed.. that food will not come as quickly as expected.. but you are in a nice environment.. I was pleasantly surprised.. Another good benefit is that this place is open during thanksgiving.. at least this year more
