my tacos and nachos came quickly and the tacos are excellent. Unfortunately the nachos don't stay crunchy by the the time they arrive but I will definitely be ordering for all soft shell items, delicious authentic tasty food. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 8/4/2013

Really good food. They could use a little bit more cheese on items that are described to contain cheese. Both times I ordered the chicken enchiladas I was unsure even there even WAS cheese on it. Ever such a slight amount.... Price is reasonable for Manhattan. Tostadas are good. Tacos, surprisingly, are not very good. Bland. They claim to be healthy, I think, so there's not much salt on their food. Pico de gallo really good. more

Best Mexican Food Around 3/27/2009

I eat here at least once a week and I always get great food and service. The Asada Burrito (with chicken) is outstanding and the Chicken Quesadilla with red beans serves as a great snack. I would recommend anyone who likes authentic Mexican style food to try this place out. Pros: Great Taste, Big Burritos Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Disapointed 3/16/2009

We have been here several times and always had good service and food. Today was a little disappointing. The beans were not correct when the food came to the table. Also about half way through the meal we found part of a plastic bag in the burrito. When we brought this up to them, they basically said oh well. Probably won't go back again. Pros: The food is good Cons: Didn't get what was ordered, plastic was found in the meal more

Great mexican food at a great price 3/14/2008

Paquito's is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious and very generously portioned, especially considering that a good number of menu items are under $10. I especially like the chicken burrito- it is loaded with flavor and so big that you have to eat it with a knife and fork. In addition to good food, I'd say Paquito's also offers very good service- polite without being intrusive- and very prompt seating, which is always nice. So, if you're in the East Village (or even if you're not) and looking for good Mexican food, be sure to check this place out! Pros: Delicious, inexpensive food Cons: None that I can think of! more

Awesome, cheap, Mexican food 3/5/2008

I live right around the block and come here a lot. If you go to the entrance on the left you are in a small, one-table take out stand. If you go to the door on the right, you go into a full-service restaurant with an outdoor garden. We've had a few large group dinners here and everything has always been great. The service, the prices, the food and the decor. Come on a warm night and sit outside with some Coronas and a burrito. You'll definitely come back again. Pros: The price, the service and the outdoor garden more

Best inexpensive Mexican food in the city 6/12/2006

I love this place. I lived in the East Village for 9 years and I got take-out from here at least 2-3 times a week. Where else can you get great, fresh Mexican food for under $10. I wish they'd open a location in Chelsea. Pros: Great food, low prices more

Better than some other similar Mexican places 4/24/2005

Paquito's has something that some similar neighborhood Mexican delivery/takeout places don't: the asada burrito. It is seasoned nicely and it's big enough for 2 meals. I think I like the 1st Ave location better than the 28th St. one. Pros: large portions, tasty seasonings, inexpensive more

I've scoured the city for good Mexican food for three years and now I can rest my weary head. And the margaritas and tequila selection aren't bad, either. Thanks, Paquito's. Pros: price is right on, food rocks, great service Cons: decor a bit lacking more

Authentic tacos! 8/7/2002

Mexican food in New York is generally barely edible. Paquito's tacos are like authentic Mexican ones - only better, 'cause they're stuffed in guacamole and other good stuff. (Tacos, by the way, are made from soft corn tortillas.) more

excellent & authentic 8/3/2002

I had searched for a very long time for good AND authentic Mexican food in this city. Very, very hard to find. This is it. Tacos just as good as those from the streets of Mexico City, which is a GREAT compliment. more
