Pancake House

We have been loyal customers to the Pancake house for 13+years...but we are probably not coming back until we hear that they have sorted out their service issues. The food is generous in portion but only about a 3 star for quality. Pretty boring. However the service SUCKS! Repeatedly, we have arrived...had a long 25+min wait then sat for 15+mins waiting for a waitress to notice us. Then we waited a total of 1 hour for food...while several other parties/tables came were served and left. Totally inconsistent service to the tables. The waitress we had, who has been here a long time,...said when we asked, "are we close?"...her answer...well maybe...we are over worked and understaffed. Our food came about 15 mins later. We won't be back anytime soon! Total time from entering the door to leaving...no lingering to enjoy anything....1 hour 50 mins...we spent a total of about 15 mins eating... more

We sometimes meet my parents here with the kids and have breakfast. The food is usually great. The service is always pretty terrible. They used to be a little hole in the wall joint only the locals knew about how good their food was but they built a huge building a few years back which is absolutely gorgeous but can't seem to keep up with all of their traffic. We still like going there because of the food and the cool building but just wish they were a little more on top of the staff about being friendly and helpful. more

If you are in McCall, you must visit The Pancake House! It is a quaint, but large log cabin with hanging flowers all around the wraparound porch. Don't let the name mislead you. They don't only serve pancakes. They do serve breakfast all day long and have wonderful pancakes, but they also have just about everything else under the sun! All the food is FABULOUS, FRESH, and YUMMY! The service and prices are great as well! You won't want to miss out on this great dining experience! more
