We've bought several appliances at Palmer Electric - a washing machine, stove and refrigerator. The salespeople (often Mr. Palmer himself) have always been helpful, but the cashiers leave a lot to be desired. I bought an extended service contract for the washing machine, which was good because I've had to have it serviced every year since we bought it in 2000. Now, this isn't Palmer's fault but the problems I've had with making an appointment for someone to come service it were. It has always taken many phone calls, promises to call back and at least a week before someone came to assess the problem, let alone fix it. We've always had the same serviceman work on the washing machine and he's been great, too -fast, efficient and apologetic for the problems I've had with the office. We purchased all these appliances before there was a Home Depot or Lowe's in the area. Now that we have BOTH of these, I think I'll buy my appliances there from now on.
