Baja has excellent tanning beds and rooms that are well-maintained. The facility is clean and has a cheerful atmosphere. I feel like they have a commitment to quality as far as their equipment is concerned. They do not seem to have a similar commitment, however, to customer service. The one sales person, I'll call her ""leather face"" (when you see her, you'll know exactly who I'm talking about) is extremely pushy! She will try to get you to purchase the most expensive monthly package and tanning lotions. If she tries to get you to buy lotion (which is good idea), don't take the first lotion she offers you... it costs $45/bottle plus tax! They have cheaper options which work just as well. Insist on a cheaper option! Also, their tanning packages are very confusing, and leather face doesn't do a very good job of decifering them for you. You can buy a monthly package for about $60 which allows you to tan as much as you want in the stand up booths or beds for 30 days, but you're still not considered a ""member"". If you want to be a ""member"" you have to purchase an additional package. I'm not exactly sure what being a member gets you... I think you get discounts on their already-overpriced products and discounts on their spray-on tans. So, you're basically paying for discounts... which doesn't make much sense, since it nets to a zero gain anyway. If you want to go to this place without losing your wallet, try to speak to someone other than leatherface. The other girls who work there seem nicer and more interested in helping you than getting you to spend all of your money.
Pros: Clean facilities, well-maintained equipment, safe location, parking, walk-in service, convenient hours
Cons: Pushy sales people, confusing package options
