#1 : Service! Wow! I was in and out in lickity split! The waitstaff is caring and friendly and always on top of it!\r \r #2: Pollo con Crema......AMAZING!!! I swear this is one of their top dishes!!! they should soooooo be on the FOOD NETWORK sharing this recipe! \r \r #3: CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP.....nobody makes it better! everytime I'm in there, I look around and many customers are enjoying this dish as well. \r \r #4: THE OWNERS.....amazing talented and genuinely freindly and clearly into what they do! As well as the rest of their staff! \r \r This is clearly a mom and pop place that I would highly rec'd.... The view is spectacular, the service and food are wonderful! From what I understand...they have several locations and have been in business since 94 ! From what we understand, they worked for AZTECA's for years and are proud to mention they learned a great deal from them which tells us they are great honest and genuine people. Hats off to you and and your great staff!\r more

NOT even close to real Mexican food. 12/15/2008

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, starting with the salsa, so artificial, the beans are overcook and the rice tasteless; the dishes are also like frozen food you can find in the grocery store. Obviously the people that like it have not tried real Mexican food!\r It is a shame they used the ""Mexican food"" type for their so processed and tasteless dishes!!! Pros: their location Cons: the bad food more

Great Food!! 7/3/2008

I have dined at Palenque twice now (having just moved to this area two weeks ago) and completely enjoyed my meal each time! The salsa with the chips wasn't my favorite, so we ordered a side of Pico de Gallo and it was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was friendly and accomodating. My friend had the Carne Asada and I had enchiladas. On my previous visit, I tried the tacos. My in-laws are Mexican, so I believe I do know good Mexican food and Palenque serves GREAT Mexican food, as well as a very tasty margarita! Give them a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed! Pros: beautiful view from the patio! Cons: Salsa with the chips was a little thin more

EWWWW - HORRIBLE 6/25/2008

This Restaurant should be ashamed to call itself a Mexican Restaurant and I can hardly believe that it is located in Liberty lake on the Golf course None the less. Most of their food tastes ""pre-cooked"" and/ or very generic. There is not that Authentic Mexican flavor you would get from Say a genuine Taqueria or Azteca Restaurant. The food is ALWAYS cold and the rice is over cooked almost everytime I go there. Their chicked tastes like it is canned and the salsa store bought. The ground beef in the tacos is greasy and has absolutely no flavor. I dont know where in San Diego you go for Mexican food, but if you think this is authentic and tastey then you probably think Digiorno frozan Pizza and/ tv dinner spaghetti is authentic Italian. I cook and eat Authentic Mexican food ALOT from some really good restaurants in Spokane and compare this one to the bottom of the barrel, I would rather eat at Taco time!\r \r Pros: Atmosphere and prompt service Cons: FOOD more

Very Dissapointed 5/13/2007

We were very dissapointed in this restaurant. While the prices were good, the food was awful. I had the fajitas and my wife had a burritto; neither of which had any taste what so ever. It was really strange because when I didn't care for mine, I sampled my wifes ... her burritto tasted the exact same as my fajitas ... like nothing at all! The salsa tasted like diced tomatos with very little cilantro in it. \r \r We were really excited for this restaurant as we had heard great things. Unfortunately we were let down. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is its veiw of the golf course and the mountains. \r \r If you are looking for good mexican food, I would try Azteca before Palenque. Pros: Wonderful scenery Cons: Terrible food. more

Tacos on the Green 1/13/2005

The food at Palenque is excellent. Other than my pet pieve, pre-formed, pre-made taco shells (you know, the kind you get at Taco Bell), the food is great. We like to go on Sunday after church, as the $1.99 kids meal menu is wonderful and filling, even for my 12 year old (only 1 more year on the kids menu). The service is great and the view of the Trail Head Golf Course is wonderful. Oh, and the Tamales seem kind of like they're not made fresh on site... just my speculation. Being from San Diego, I'm kind of a Mexican food ""snob"". This is one of the best in the inland northwest. Pros: View, Food, Service Cons: , Tamales more
