I entered the Painted Bird expecting it as empty like the last shop I was in but instead I found a shop bustling with activity. As soon as I walked in a very pleasant woman greeted me and asked me if I needed any help. They had so much flash I just went through it for what must have been an hour or more. I found many designs I liked but wanted to look into getting a picture I brought tattooed on my arm. The woman who answered my questions was informative and good at suggestion things that would make my picture into a better tattoo. After about a half hour of going over the design she told me she would have it drawn up for me on Tuesday and I should come in any day after that to see if I like what she came up with. I went back on Thursday and the design was not exactly what I wanted but it only took her a few minutes to get it just right. I got a price for the design and it was a lot less then I thought it would be and then asked how much was the work she put into the design I was stunned when she told me it wasn't going to cost me anything. I had looked through the books of both the tattooist, Jason and Steve, both were excellent. I decided to have Jason tattoo me mostly because he had finished the tattoo he had been working on while Steve on the other hand was still tattooing. Jason was hilarious and had me laughing the whole time I was in there which really helped my pass the 2 hours it took to tattoo me. Once he was done and I stood in the mirror to look at my arm I was so pleased I couldn't stop grinning. I tipped Jason and before I headed out I scheduled an appointment with Cindy to get my nipples pierced. I was very very happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend The Painted Bird.
