Could Have Been In Balogna Italy 9/3/2011

East Side NY Gem 1/15/2011

This Restaurant is an amazing gem located on the east side. Antonio & Mario Cerra greet you as if you were family and make you feel like you are a restaurant regular regardless if this is the first time you have ever visited. The wait staff is a tentative and knowledgeable and the food is delicious. My party enjoyed the oyster?s casino appetizer followed by a pasta sampler and concluded with Dover Sole, Tuna that was amazing, and Crab stuffed Madagascar Prawns the size of lobster tails. We went on a night that they provided entertainment and the entire atmosphere was like a big family gathering. We will definitely be back for more dining experiences more

Great Food with an Incredible deal! 1/11/2010

Absolutely incredible food. The staff was even better! To top it off, I found this deal for a $40 gift certificate for only $18 bucks. I got to enjoy all of this great food for more than 50% off. Look at halfoffdepot if you are interested in the deal. It is worth the full price, but out of this world for half off! Pros: Everyone should know about this place Cons: Really could not find any cons more

In the presence of professionals 6/26/2009

There is something about Padre Figlio, which just tells you they know what they are doing. It starts with the hostess, who greets you by name even though you have never been there before and have not announced yourself. The Maitre D? proceeds to announce the voluminous specials of the day, including the ingredients and the method of preparation?just so. more

One of the best places in New York 2/11/2009

I went there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. I must say I was rather impressed with the menu, Not to fancy but not to ordinary either. The food was fantastic as well as the tiramisu which I highly recommend. The service was great not on top of you but not away from you that you couldn't find the waiter. I highly recommend this spot as a great place for a romantic dinner with your significant other Pros: Food and Service Cons: None that I can think of more

Perfect Italian.. 11/6/2008

This is my first review to citysearch. The absolute best food I've had in NY. Worth the wait and the price. I had the lobster ravioli which amazingly melted in your mouth. The service was gracious and prompt. If I could afford it, I'd eat there all the time! more

Very Good Restaurant 10/1/2008

We were hoping the food was going to be as nice as the restaurant itself.....we weren't disappointed. I had a fantastic steak and my wife had some delicious pasta. The wine list was exceptional and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Pros: Food, Wine, Service, Ambiance more

Excellent dining experience! 4/30/2008

From the moment you walk into the charming looking place you are welcomed by everyone from the bartender to the host/owners. The host Mario and Antonio were very eager to let me know all the specials in such details that I felt I was cooking the meal with them. No surprise the pasta was excellent (try the lobster ravioli- its out of this world). All in all this is a great place to take your boss or boyfriend. It?s delicious and reasonably priced, and will fit for any occasion. Pros: Walks ins are welcomed and they deliver! Cons: Hard to park on the streets, but there's a garage a block away. more

A real gem in the UN neighborhood. The great food is matched by attentive service. The menu being personally delivered by Tony is a highlight. The fresh fish specials are always my wife's favorites. Don't be afraid to let the staff guide you on selections. Pros: Food and service Cons: far east side more
