Found out about Dr. Dunbar when searching for options aside from Fox Valley for knee surgery for my dog. I was happy to find a place in Green Bay that could do the TPLO surgery my vet talked about so I decided to seek a second opinion on my own instead. The staff and atmosphere were well beyond comparison to how I felt at Fox Valley and the surgery was even less expensive than FV's quote as well. Dr. Dunbar is clearly an excellent surgeon and we felt our dog was in great hands when we left him there for surgery. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again (and even considering switching for our regular care as well). Buddy is doing great just a few months later with no signs of limping like before! more

I have been a client at Packerland for years and have always had a great experience there. The receptionists are always friendly, the tech staff is extremely knowledgable and the doctors are the best. Prices seem pretty comparable to equivalent vet clinics... Don't go there if you are looking for bottom basement pricing, but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. It is nice to be able to get our regular vaccines and such there, but their scope of service came in extra handy last year when our lab needed a TPLO to repair a torn ACL. Nice to be able to have it done in house with the people I trust. These guys are the real deal... Highly recommend! more

I had been with Packerland Veterinary Center for 11 years. I have continually been overcharged. I have five pets and have been loyal to this vets office, but this doesnt seem to matter. I was told that I missed two appointments, even though I had callled and left a voicemail on thier answering machine. So, after ten years, I was told that I had to pre-pay for the office visits or they would not schedule me. WHO DOES THIS? I have never not paid a bill with them and never even made payments. I have paid in full for 11 years. I am told one thing in the exam room, but when I call back, I am told something completely different. I feel as though they dont really care about the pet, but the charges they can rack up for the patient. I suppose they do need to overcharge to pay for the equipment they brag about, which would only be needed in emergency or very specific cases of a health condition. For routine immunizations and check ups, there is no reason for such high fees. I called around and found that they are charging almost double for many services. WOW. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are looking for some unusual therapy such as stem cell therapy or something not offered elsewhere. more

I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and Packerland is a prime example of that. Yes, you may pay more at Packerland but their care and service is "next to none"! They have a state of the art place and my dog definately got state of the art care. My dog is my baby and I will not trust him to just anyone. When I leave him at Packerland I know that they will treat him as if he were their own! He loves it. He does nothing but wage his tail from the time we walk in until the time we leave. I can't say enough about this place. I only wish that MY doctor's office was as caring as my dogs! more

I was a client of Packerland for over 9 years and never had any major issues, just brought in pets for the standard and one cat with a kidney infection. A couple weeks ago thought, we had an emergency and our youngest cat went into kidney failure. I can't even explain how traumatic my experience was at Packerland. They discuss procedures that cost thousands of dollars and talked you into things using scare tactics, basically if you don't do this your cat will die, etc. They were telling me things like cancer, etc. and offering all these expensive options including surgery. I was also told that if she started throwing up again after I brought her home that she probably wasn't doing better and I'd have to bring her back in and think about ""making a decision"". Well, she did start throwing up again over the weekend. I had to say my goodbye?s etc. and send her with my husband to the emergency vet to have her put down, only to find out that she was actually getting better! In the end, it was a kidney infection and at the end of 2 weeks of antibiotics and special food she was back to normal. Tell me again why I had to pay $880 which included x-rays for a kidney infection? I understand she needed treatment and IV fluids, but I did not deserve the mistreatment and unnecessary procedures and trip to the emergency vet which costs another $350 for a kidney infection! I feel I was mislead and lied to. When my husband tried to discuss this with them over the next two weeks, but they basically wrote us off and said there was nothing they would do. This is how you treat your clients of 9 years! We have since transferred all of our records to Parkside and have had great follow up care with them. I searched everywhere for a good veterinary clinic that treated exotic animals. We have 3 guinea pigs and a Bunny. I met with Dr. Lewis who works with exotics and in fact used to raise guinea pigs herself, to treat my poor sick piggy. She did a wonderful job and is great to work with. Dr. Lewis takes the time to listen to the symptoms and give you the options she feels is the best route to care for the animal. This clinic is great not only for my exotics but also with my dog. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone in the Green Bay and surrounding areas more
