They are offering good prices just to get your money. Their service is NOT GOOD AT ALL..it got me.. I paid $350.00 for (VIPER)... I got a car alarm from them, it did not work right. So I went back and they said that this alarm company is not a good one and sold me a upgrade. Even after getting the upgrade the alarm did not work right. I have gone in 4 times and every time it is different excuse. If you are thinking about going there, don`t and save your money. Casual Visit made me Embarrassed and Angry 7/4/2009

I have been planning to install a stereo system in my car and I had recently moved to Fremont. I visited the store casually to see if what kind of systems did they carry. The store had some cars outside and seemed a good sized store with good variety of products. However, the people in there seemed to have attitude, arrogant, condescending and pushy. First of all I had to wait some time to to get help. Then the guy started asking me questions if I wanted to install the system right away and how much I could afford. On asking about a particular configuration which ""Crutchfield"" had recommended, the guy asked me if I owned a professional sound system ever in my life..... and how much I spent on it...... Then he started pushing me on if I was interested in installing the system the same day. I wanted to inquire about few other things, when he suddenly became disinterested.. and moved away. I was planning to spend a $700-1200 on the car system Without a Subwoofer (as I wanted a small system), but their attitude made me feel these guys were arrogant and didn't care for prospective customers, their choices, concerns, questions, tastes or budget. Overall the store lacked professional sales attitude. Looks like they might be doing good which has made them arrogant and thus a condescending attitude toward people who don't seem to carry wads of cash Prior customers made similar comments. Cheaters 6/8/2009

All of the guys at Pacific cheaters are completely unprofessional and liars (especially salesman Mike). They sold me a wrong product first by giving false assurances and then when it didn't work they refused to return my money back. They will try to sell $16 fake product to you for $300. My car had been broken in to, and the radio/CD player stolen. I live in LA and am in the Bay Area working, so my husband handled all the insurance and research long distance for me. After speaking to Maz, he felt confident that he was sending me to the right store to replace my unit. Maz made me feel welcome, like I was a valued, regular customer and gave us an excellent deal on a wonderful product--the Pioneer DEH-P7900BT, which includes Bluetooth and iPod. He took the time to educate me about the various features to make sure that they were things I might actually use. After the installation, Maz had one of his staff set up my Bluetooth (I would have had no clue), and give me a hands-on lesson on how to use everything. Maz said if I had any other questions on how to operate it, to come back and they'd be happy to help. He also made sure I understood how to keep this one from getting stolen in the future! Everyone was very nice, and I am thrilled with my new toy. Those long drives to LA and back are going to be a very different experience now! Pros: great deal, excellent service more

Excellent service 1/9/2008

I purchased a full system. The navigation with blue tooth, two headrest, alarm, and two amps. Maz gave me the best price and the best service. I was very pleased with the respect they gave me I went back and had work done on my wifes car. My wifes car had the alarm/engine start, and dvd system put in. I was equelly impressed by the knowledgable technician Cali, who did the work on mine and my wifes car. Cali did and excellent job. The work he did is very clean and neat. Very professional!!! Will return more

Stick to Circuit City or Best Buy 9/16/2007

I recently went in to pacific stereo to look at some new speakers for my car. The guy that helped me was very nice and seemed to know what he was talking about. After working out a deal, which i thought was pretty good at the time, he told me that install would take no longer than 2 hours. Since this was an on the spot desicion by me, i decided to just wait it out in the store. The guy told me they had a waiting room in the back so i checked it out. There was a dirty room in the back by the bathroom that had a non working pepsi machine, and empty water machine, 2 old desks, a few random office chairs, a lawn chair, some big boxes, and a little tv sitting on a broken chair that only recieved Telemundo. I saw that they at least had some magazines and newspapers, but the paper was a mercury from 4 months ago and the magazines were either very old issues of auto trader or free muscle car magazines. And the bathroom was also a mess, not that you need to have a nice bathroom at a speaker place, but if i owned a place of business i would at least take the trash out and try to make the place look presentable. After killing time in the ""waiting room"", i was told numerous times that my car was almost done; and it was, almost 4 hours later. Now i know they have lots to do, but all i would like is for someone to be honest with me and act like they care about the customers. I felt like once they got my money, they didnt care about anything else. Just tell me that it might take a little longer, or that some of the cars before mine had some unexpected problems that took them longer to deal with, dont just keep telling me its almost done. After talking to a couple other people that were waiting (who were also gettig fed up), my car was finally done. After some research, i found that i actually got ripped off, but thats my fault for not doing my homework. But the fact that they seem to not care at all about the customer really turned me off and i wont be going back. Pros: Good Selection Cons: Customer Service, Store Condition, Lots of others more

first off i would like to clear things up with the idiots that have been giving pacific stereo bad reviews. y0u guys are dumb. i mean y0u complain y0u were stuck there for hella hours, hello, they are a busy place giving customers great service, which is why people go there and why they are always busy. i heard about his from my boyfriend wh0 goes there allllll the time. he buys like everything and anything. this time i was buying my boyfriend some cd player and i dealt with maz who gave a great deal. i would usually be bored there but i managed to take a couple quarters to get some m&ms from the candy machine and also talked to some of the associates and was joking around with them. believe me they are so nice i would never ever go to any other place. and i also recommended it to my family and friends and they also have gone there. so trust me dont waste your time anywhere else. oh and we also got some cool car alarms from there and its like a little screen with a pic of your car and it tells you if someone is trying to get in your car and the alarm shows where exactly its being broken into. pretty cool. THIS IS A GREAT SHOP TO GET THINGS FOM STEREOS TO ALARMS TO DYNAMAT. I WENT THERE TO GET A SOME BEAT, ALARM, AND ALSO DYNAMAT. best stereo shop in the bay area 8/4/2007

i have been going to pacific stereo for a while now, and everytime i walk in, im greeted as if it was the first time im going there. maz-o comes over and asks me what im looking for and he hooks me up with the best prices in town. i live in hayward and pacific stereo is about 15 minutes away from me but whenever i need anything, doesnt matter what even little fuses, i always take a drive down and say wadup to maz-o. also, another good thing about pacific stereo is that they have most of the things in stock and you can actually do layaway with a deposist. if anyone needs any stereo stuff, go to pacific stereo, and talk to maz Pros: parking, service, prices, deals, free water Cons: n/a more

Here is my experience with Pacific Car Stereo. It was friday evening and I dropped by the store to purchase some subwoofers. I wanted Rockford Fosgate T112d4 subwoofers for my car. I knew what I wanted and I knew the street prices (btw, another reason to avoid this place is if you don't know what you're getting and how much products are going for). I was some how able to cut a deal of $140 on each of these subwoofers. The order was then relayed and processed by the cashier and he asked me if I wanted to pay full. I said ""yes, I would like to pay full."" Then I obtained my receipt and they gave me an approximate arrival date of the subwoofers which was the following monday. I dropped my phone number down which they said they would notify me if the subwoofers were to arrive. As monday, tuesday, and wednesday passes, still no call. Finally on wednesday I called them at 5pm and they stated ""yes your subwoofers are here."" I then proceeded to drive down to Pacific to pick them up but low behold, upon waiting to pick up the subwoofers, we were told that the manager and staff were not anticipating a shipping fee. They said that usually shipping is free from their supplier but they had not notice that it is free on orders of $3,500 and above. Long story short, I was not allowed to take the subwoofers that I had bought unless I were to pay them $80. I had no knowledge of a shipping fee during the initial payment of $304 and they refused to give me my product unless I were to pay. Now why should it make sense that I need to pay more to get my product that I have already paid in full for? What's more is that it is completely their fault for their error. Their argument to me is that if they dont receive $80 from me, then they will be losing money. Why do we consumers have to care again? In the end, the issue was resolved in two days and $40 from my own pocket. We made a mutual agreement to pay 50 50. Not fair. Avoid this place. They dont honor their deals. more

Pacific Stereo Got What I Needed 2/25/2007

I walked into pacific stereo today and i was look to buy a cool system for myself since it was pay day. As i walked into pacific stereo i was greeted at the front counter by a man named maz. I told him that i was look for a stereo system for my altima. He said ok. First he asked me what was i look for i told me that i was look for some subs and some inside speakers since i blew out my old ones. He walked me threw the store showing me all the speakers. i didn't know the difference between then all i cared about was the sound. he showed me some kickers subs. i thought the look pretty. so i told him that i would like to take two of those and the amp and inside speakers. well i dont know alot about stereo so i need it installed. he said ok it going to be 2 1/2-3 hours top. that was ok since i need to go to wal-mart down the street. i told him to call me when it was finished he said sure. so i was in wal-mart shopping when my phone rang it was pacific stereo then told me that my car was done. i told them are you sure i just drop it off like an hour and half ago and he said yea. i was surprised . i have never seen service like that since. when i went to fry to get my cd player installed it took them 3-4 hours and it took pacific stero an 1 and half that was fast. When i got back to pacific i told maz thank you for the fast service. and i told him that i would bring him more customers. he smiled and said thanks. i dont know why these people in city search are writing bad comments. i just think they are idiots. pacific stereo has the best service around better then circuitcity, fry's and bestbuy trust me i been to all of them. thanks maz :) Pros: the sevice and the time it took to get done. more

I went to pacific stereo to buy a cd player for my girlfriend car. when i walked in to pacific i was greeted by a man named maz. i told him that i was look for a cd player for the girlfriend car. He walked with me to the display unit and told me all the difference between all of the cd player. how some just play a cd or other one that are mp3 and ipod ready. i told him that i wanted a simple cd player but i need it to be a mp3 and ipod ready. He told me about this one JVC cd player it was 120. that was ok with me since my budget was only 150. It had everything that i wanted. He asked me if i was going to install it my self and i said yes then he told me that i would need a wiring harness for the car since the has a stock tape deck. he told me everything that i need to do and then some more. it cost me all together 140 dollors. i think it was worth it dont you. I think that pacific stereo had the best service since i went to circuitcity and bestbuy and all they would tell me was this one is the best for you car. nothing more, nothing less. dont take my word for it go down and check it out.
