  • In Short
Running alongside beautiful coastlines from San Juan Capistrano to beyond San Francisco, California State Route 1 (better known as PCH, or Pacific Coast Highway) is among the most famous roads in the world. Though some segments have been designated with local names, the winding oceanside path is synonymous with surfing and the breezy California lifestyle. In SoCal, two of its most famed spots are the Santa Monica Pier and Malibu's Zuma Beach.
