Great Music, beautiful women, great Djs 1/4/2009

This is a great place to listen to great DJs spin bangin house. Don't even bother to come unless you are on a guest list because the lines are annoyingly long and the security is obnoxious either way. But once inside you will have a phenomenal time. Great club, great dj's, friendly bartenders, but Pacha security is horrible 7/27/2008

Pacha is the best house music club in city due to their hosting of the worlds best dj's and all night theme parties. They club doesn't get pumping until around 3 am so don't expect much if you get there before 1. The early crowd is made up mostly tourists who are just there to get drunk. The late crowd is made up of serious clubbers who are there for the music and djs. The energy totally changes at 3 am when the main dj goes on. I went this past weekend to hear Victors Calderone (who was amazing) but I have to say I will have second thoughts about going back to Pacha again. The Pacha security was horrible. They put a downer on the night before you even walk in the door. They are super rude and basically strip search you. I don't mind a pat down, but now they are now grabbing and feeling around your crouch. Thats where I draw the line. I happened to get caught with gum in my pants (not allowed) and they made me feel like I had just committed a major crime and yelled at me. Give me a break. A few weeks ago I would have given this club 5 stars. Pros: Great music, great dj's, fun crowd after 3am Cons: security: rude, obnoxious and inappropriate searches more

not so great- the guy at the door sucked 5/31/2008

It is a pretty typical club. The space is not necessarily great. If you are looking for hardcore house dancing after 4am, this works. But I have been to better. But the experience at the door was very annoying. First the guy at the entry who is checking the IDs asked us to pay 40$ for each at 4 in the morning. We were a group of of 6 girls and 2 guys.Then my friend somehow managed to get a deal of 10$ per person after talking to another guy at the main entry. (double standard, unfair pricing) I had a water bottle in my pocket and the guy at the door took the bottle off my pocket and threw it w/out even asking me to throw it . Then I told him, i want to drink it before I get inside as I am thirsty, He blackmailed me saying If I drink it, I am not getting in. So see another nobody w/a big power trip. I understand not letting the water in as I guess we are supposed to buy the overpriced water inside, but how dare he can dictate what I will drink before I get in. I did not say anything since most of my friends already got in and also it is known that people at the doors of this kind of clubs tend to enjoy their "oh so important power of letting people in" little too much. But I dont want to support this business again by going there. more

So close....but yet so far away 5/24/2008

So, I went to this place last night upon recommendation of the other positive reviews on the web. I got there early....it was just after 10pm. The club was pretty empty inside...so why did the proud guys at the door make us wait almost half an hour? There were a total of 5 people in line by the way including myself. And these jerks have the nerve to make you wait in line for half an hour at 10:00....I chose your club over all other clubs/bars/lounges....so wouldn't you want people to go in asap? And then they really try to milk you with the $30. (yes $30. per person) cover charge!! My man and I are not going to pay $60. just to get into a place that made us wait at 10:00 for half an hour and for no reason. We went to another place - with no cover charge - and spent the $60 we would have to just get INTO Pacha on...hmmmm... about 5 drinks! Pros: None that I can think of... Cons: They are not as good as the staff seems to think they are more

Amazing club!!!! 5/23/2008

Me and my friends went there last night for the Marcus Schulz performance and it just insane. We first walked in and it was the lower level floor where there weren't many people so we kinda thought it was going to be bad but as soon as you go upstairs its just insane. Everyone is dancing, lights are going on and off, just a crazy atmosphere. The music was unbelievably great and just went on and on. To get in is a joke, me and my friends were kinda overdressed since we had heard rumors that you had to be dressy. I saw some dude wearing running sneakers and a hoody, its a joke to get in. Even though I had a blast and would go there again, some negatives are present. The prices are insanely high, we paid 30 dollars to get in and the drinks were uber expensive! Also, the guy to girl ratio wasn't that great but you will manage. The crowd is pretty chill and alot of tourists but sometimes a little too chill since you had a bunch of people smoking w ee d which isn't my thing. All in all I had a great time and plan on going back sometime soon. Pros: Atmosphere, Music, Crowd Cons: Prices are just insanely expensive more

Great clubbing experience! 5/3/2008

We entered before midnight and there was no cover! Club was amazing with 3 different levels and 1 balcony overlooking the main dance floor. Interiors were attractive too and lights and lasers were impressive! Hip Hop/Top 40 in the basement and Techno on main level and upstairs dance floor, Pachita. Drinks were expensive ($10 for whiskey sour, $14 for long island iced tea) but this is NYC let's face it! The music was awesome! We left at 4:30 and the club was still hoppin'! Awesome night! No complaints. Pros: Attractive club, great music, different levels... Cons: None more

Always hosting a fabulous night... 4/4/2008

Pacha is a place that brings in TOP name DJs from around the globe, and the real crowds scurry in to witness their heroes live in-action. If you want to enjoy the music, but need a break from the profusely sweating crowd, head upstairs where everything sounds just as good. You will actually have room to move around. They serve Gatorade! That excited me, since I need my energy to stay there all night and dance. When I say all night, I mean ALL-I leave, and the sun is out. Advice: buy your tickets before you show-up at the door, since it costs way less. Pros: hosting excellent DJs Cons: ridiculously crowded more

Fantastic spot, great dancing music, cool and attractive crowd 4/2/2008

After having an unforgettable and fabulous night at Pacha Buenos Aires, I was eager to see what the New York club would have in store. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. There's just something higher class, cleaner, and sexier feeling about this club than so many others. The DJ really feels out the crowd and always seems to be able to keep the energy level where it should be. On another note, there is a site for singles launching in New York soon . . . actually looks kind of cool. It's like a dating site but for GROUPS - as in, people go out with their friends and meet up with other crews of friends. Double dates, triple dates, etc. It's called MIXTT (check it out - mixtt dot com). Pros: Scene, lighting, crowd, energy Cons: Just make sure you are hyped up for the night. more

Great music but not too pretty inside 3/30/2008

My friends and I went here last Saturday night (girls night out) and all in all had a good time. I will say though - I was expecting more for a bar in New York City. To me, it wasn't very nice inside. I am from Dallas and know of MANY places that are way prettier inside there. I was just expecting something extravagant since we were in NYC but it didn't live up to my standards in that regard. On the other hand - the drinks were good...got them fast and the music was great! more

im 17 and i got in ((with my friends ID that looks absolutely nothing like me)) so i dont think they really care too much at the door. DJ Boris wasDJing when i was there . he was good but i'd rather have seen a big international DJ.. there have been other times where ive driven past at 4 in the morning when Pete Tong was DJing and the line was wraping around the block at 4 AM! line gets pretty long so def get there early. also smoking in there didnt seem a problem or my underage drinking ((without a wristband)) bouncers didnt even notice. only thing is if you dont have VIP seating, there is NOWHERE to sit and rest. drinks are soooooo expensive! mad ppl take xtc Pros: good house music Cons: drink prices and door prices more

great time, best music 2/28/2008

I have been to a few Pacha's in my time (Sitges / Ibiza / Munich) and NY is on the top of my list (outside of the isle). The system is off the wall, the girls good looking mix. People dancing and smiling. Not sure who DJ was (im not up on my DJs) but he was killing it when I was there. Pros: system, drinks were strong, great looking people. Cons: line got long, get there early more

Worst coat check ever!!!!!! 2/13/2008

They couldn?t? find my jacket and then told me to come tomorrow!!! Have big attitude issues! They really need to learn how to speak to people, terrible customer service ever at a coat check. It was Russian night, and the music was terrible. No Russian music at all, ON the RUSSIAN NIGHT. However, I liked the service at the bar. VERY NICE! FAST! You don?t even have to wait for 3 minutes for some one to serve you. Loved it. more
